Back-to-back losses have not only put the perfect season out of reach for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but have also put their chances of securing top spot in the AFC in peril as they tangle with rival Cincinnati in the Monday nighter. The 11-2 Steelers have fallen behind Kansas City in the overall conference standings, but are primed for a major bounce-back Monday against a Bengals team that has dropped five straight games.

NFL Week 15 Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Pittsburgh is favoured by nearly two converted touchdowns in the second of two meetings between the teams this season. The Steelers earned a dominant 36-10 victory in the previous encounter, and have won 10 consecutive meetings between the teams. The public loves its favourites, and that doesn’t change here, with 83 percent of Sports Interaction participants taking the Steelers -13 on the road.

This game carries one of the lowest totals of Week 15 at 40.5, and 69 percent of Sports Interaction bettors are siding with the Over. The Steelers are 5-1 to the Under in their past six games overall, and have converted the Under in 10 of their past 15 games against divisional opponents. Cincinnati has finished below the number in four of its previous five games, while the teams are 4-1 to the Under in their last five meetings.

Pittsburgh Steelers

If the Steelers are going to remain Super Bowl contenders, they’re going to need a much more robust rush attack than the one they’ve displayed for nearly two months. Pittsburgh has rushed for fewer than 50 yards in five of its past seven games, and has just 68 total yards on the ground over its past two contests. The Bengals might provide some relief in this regard, having allowed the fifth-most rushing yards (on 4.6 yards per carry) on the season.

Cincinnati Bengals

As the Bengals stumble to the finish line, their franchise quarterback continues a long recovery from major knee surgery. Joe Burrow, the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, underwent surgery on Dec. 2 to repair tears in four different knee ligaments, and he’s expected to fully recover. In his absence, the Cincinnati offence has completely sputtered, producing a total of 31 points in three games to fall to 29th overall in scoring league-wide (18.8 ppg).
