The Jets enjoyed a bye last week after dropping a 28-27 decision to the visiting Indianapolis Colts in Week 11, which ultimately cost general manager Joe Douglas his job. Overall, the Jets have plummeted out of playoff contention while losing seven of their past eight contests and have covered the spread just once over that stretch.
The Seahawks have emerged as narrow 1-point favourites on the NFL Week 13 odds ahead of this clash of two teams heading in opposite directions. The Jets trail as +100 underdogs on the NFL moneyline and the total is pegged at 42.0.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The Seahawks will be aiming to extend their recent dominance in head-to-head action in Sunday afternoon’s matchup at MetLife Stadium. The Seahawks have won five straight against the Jets in convincing fashion, with the Jets averaging just 7.2 points per game while falling to defeat by double-digit margins in each of those contests.
Consistent scoring has also eluded the Jets during their current slide, with the team averaging just 17.1 points per game. However, they have performed marginally better at home, where they have scored an average of 22.7 points over their past three appearances.

The defence has masked the struggles of quarterback Geno Smith, who has connected on just one scoring pass during the team’s current 2-0 run and tossed six picks over the past four games. Smith has not been helped by a porous offensive line that has allowed him to be sacked 16 times over the past three games. A growing list of injuries has not helped matters, with receivers Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf both missing practice this week.
New York Jets
Patience has run out in New York, where the Jets squandered a fourth-quarter lead for the third time during their 1-7 run in last week’s loss to the Colts. The Jets have now seen five of their seven recent losses come by just a single score, but have done little to help their own cause while consistently failing to turn in full 60-minute performances. Slow starts have emerged as a particularly concern, with the Jets scoring just nine total points in first-quarter action over their past four games.
Despite those struggles, Aaron Rodgers has produced on home turf, connecting on nine total scoring passes in his past four home appearances and has avoided throwing a pick in four straight games. Breece Hall got things done both downfield and in the backfield versus Indy, compiling 121 total yards, one TD catch and one scoring run, but was limited at practice this week by a knee injury that leaves him listed as questionable for what is expected to be a sunny but cold afternoon on Sunday.
