Ravens vs. Titans Point Spread: NFL Week 6 Odds, Prediction

The Titans are coming off a 27-3 win against Cincinatti last week, but they still sit last in the crowded AFC South with a 2-3 record. Baltimore dropped a key divisional game 17-10 against Pittsburgh in Week 5, which gives the Steelers the tiebreaker as both teams sit atop the AFC North with identical 3-2 records.

The Ravens are 4-point favourites to win in Week 6, while the total sits at 41.5 on the NFL odds.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

These teams haven’t met since the Wild Card round of the 2020 season. Baltimore took that game 20-13 on the road. Tennessee jumped out to an early 10-0, but the Ravens rallied to score the game’s next 17 points. Titans running back Derrick Henry, that year’s rushing champion and Offensive Player of the Year, was held to just 40 rushing yards on 18 carries.

Baltimore comes into Week 6 sitting at 3-2 against the spread for the year, with the total going Under in four of five games. That continues a couple of similar trends that have seen the total go Under in 11 of the Ravens’ last 15 games against AFC opponents and six of their last seven in October.

Like their opponent, Tennessee is also 3-2 ATS and 1-4 on the Over/Under this season. The total has gone Under in eight of the Titans’ last nine games overall and 11 of their last 15 against Baltimore.

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens’ defence has come up strong recently, allowing an average of just 14 points per game over the last three contests, but that has only resulted in one win. That points to a struggling offence that was shutout in the last 47 minutes last week against Pittsburgh. Lamar Jackson passed for 236 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. It was the third time Jackson failed to throw a touchdown pass this season and the second time he failed to throw a TD pass or run a score in on the ground. It didn’t help that in addition to Jackson’s costly interception, Baltimore had seven dropped passes, two lost fumbles and they allowed a punt to be blocked for a safety.

Despite the offensive struggles, there’s hope for this Ravens team in Week 6. They have yet to allow an opponent to gain 300 yards in regulation time and their run defence is allowing just 3.6 yards per carry. If Baltimore’s defence has another strong performance against Tennessee, the offence can likely slide by with an average performance.

Tennessee Titans

The Titans were terrible in the red-zone last week, failing to find the end zone on three of four trips, but it didn’t matter as they still managed to rout Cincinnati. Ryan Tannehill threw for 240 yards, one touchdown and one interception, while Derrick Henry had his best game of the season. Henry finished with 122 rushing yards and a score while also completing a two-yard touchdown pass to rookie tight end Josh Whyle.

The big concern for Tennessee right now is a couple of key injuries on offence. Left guard Peter Skoronski has missed the last three games recovering from an appendectomy and receiver Treylon Burks has missed back-to-back games with a knee injury. Skoronski has returned to practice, while Burks still hasn’t hit the field.
