Rams vs. Steelers Point Spread: NFL Predictions, Week 10 Odds
With the San Francisco 49ers still unbeaten and the Seattle Seahawks surging, the Rams come out of their bye week as the third-best team in their own division – and making up ground won’t be easy against a Steelers team riding a three-game winning streak.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
Pittsburgh’s recent hot stretch isn’t enough to sway oddsmakers, who have made the hosts more than a field-goal underdog against the defending NFC champions. But that might suit Steelers bettors just fine, with Pittsburgh having gone 8-3-3 ATS in their last 14 games when receiving points at Heinz Field. That said, the Rams come in having covered six straight road games while going 10-3 ATS in their previous 13 contests overall.
The number for this one is set at 44 – the lowest total the Rams have seen all season. And Sports Interaction bettors think it’s too low, with 72 percent leaning toward the Over. The Under has gone 6-2 in Los Angeles’ last eight road games, and 5-2 in its previous seven overall. But the Steelers are trending in the opposite direction, having gone 5-2 O/U in their past seven vs. teams above .500 and 14-6 O/U in their last 20 at Heinz Field.
Los Angeles Rams
The path to the playoffs could be a bumpy one for the Rams, who still have a handful of difficult tests ahead of them. In addition to Sunday’s encounter with the Steelers, the Rams still have to face the Ravens, Cowboys, Seahawks and 49ers, who enter Week 10 with a combined record of 26-7. Los Angeles could be without the services of wide receiver Brandin Cooks this week; he’s recovering from a concussion and is considered day-to-day.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers have bounced back nicely from their dreadful 0-3 start, going 4-1 in five games since with only narrow losses to San Francisco and Baltimore (in OT) keeping Pittsburgh from putting together a six-game winning streak. And while the offence has made strides in recent weeks, it’s the defence that has made the most significant impact. Pittsburgh ranks second in the NFL in forced turnovers (22) and turnover margin (+11) and fifth in sacks (29).
