The Los Angeles Rams are a healthy 4-1 on the season and have looked like a clear contender so far. Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers have been thoroughly depleted by injuries throughout the entire season and appear to be falling apart. They are only 2-3 on the year with their two wins coming against the New York teams, who are a combined 0-10. The 49ers need this one because the first quarter of the season has been disastrous for them so far.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The under is 5-0 in the Rams last five games in October and 10-2 in their last 12 games when coming in as the favorite. However, the over is 4-0 in their past four games when coming off of an ATS win. Los Angeles is 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games against NFC West opponents and 10-3 ATS in their last 13 road games.

Meanwhile, the over is 6-0-1 in ther 49ers last seven games when coming off of an ATS loss and 5-0 in their last five after a straight up loss in the game prior. San Francisco is 6-1 ATS in their past seven Week 6 matchups and 5-1 ATS in their last six games when coming in as the underdog.

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams currently sit at 4-1 on the season and have been playing exceptional football so far. They are coming off of a 30-10 win over the Washington Football Team that saw Jared Goff throw for over 300 yards and two touchdowns with only one interception. They were also able to use their three-man running back committee, which has been effective for them. They are eighth in the NFL in rushing offense. Cam Akers saw nine carries last week, Darrell Henderson got 15 and Malcolm Brown handled eight.

Their defense was also able to fully dominate Washington’s offensive line, racking up a total of eight sacks in the game. Four of them coming at the hands of superstar Aaron Donald. San Francisco has given up 10 sacks and 13.5 tackles for a loss in the last two weeks alone. Donald and company should be licking their chops at this matchup.

San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers looked absolutely terrible in their last game against the Miami Dolphins, not only losing but getting blown out 43-17. This was their first game with Jimmy Garoppolo back at starting quarterback since his ankle injury a few weeks ago and he did not look ready to come back. He was pulled after throwing for only 77 yards and two interceptions. Now there is debate as to who will start this week

Their rushing attack played pretty well with Raheem Mostert totaling 90 yards on only 11 carries. Unfortunately, they were trailing big so quickly that they had to shift to passing to come back.

The 49ers defense is also in shambles these days. We know that they’ve already lost Nick Bosa, Richard Sherman and Solomon Thomas for the season. They couldn’t get much pressure on Ryan Fitzpatrick at all in this contest, giving him ample time to dissect the field and deliver. He finished with 350 yards passing and three touchdowns. If they give Goff that much time to work with, he’ll post similar numbers.
