Raiders Fire HC Pete Carroll After One Season
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Las Vegas Raiders have fired Carroll after just one season as head coach.
The move comes after a disastrous 3–14 campaign that saw the Raiders finish last in the AFC West. Las Vegas now holds the first overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, setting the stage for a full organizational reset.
Carroll, a Super Bowl-winning coach, was hired last offseason to stabilize a franchise stuck in neutral. Instead, the Raiders never found traction on either side of the ball, cycling through lineups and failing to establish a clear identity.
With Carroll out, the Raiders head into another offseason of uncertainty. Ownership will now be searching for its fourth head coach in a short span, while also deciding how aggressively to rebuild around the top pick.
