Panthers’ QB Bryce Young Misses Practice, Might Miss Week 3
It hasn’t been a glorious start to Bryce Young’s Carolina Panthers career. Then again, he’s only played two games and number-one overall draftees rarely blow opponents out of the water from the get-go.
A 24-10 loss to the Atlanta Falcons was followed up by a 20-17 defeat at home to the New Orleans Saints in Week 2. The offensive output was so moribund the home fans got a bit restless in the second half.
Add an injury to the pile of problems the Panthers face. Young suffered an ankle injury during the game and has been extremely limited in team activities since. He missed Wednesday’s team practice entirely.
Veteran Andy Dalton, who arrived during the offseason, took first-team reps during the session. Should Young be required to take the week off to heal, at least head coach Frank Reich has a seasoned QB with whom he can go into battle.
