Packers vs. Patriots Week 9 Betting Odds, Prediction and Picks: Green Bay Brings Five-Game ATS Streak
New England trailed the Dolphins 13-3 at halftime last week before Drake Maye took over, running in a go-ahead touchdown and throwing 43-yard touchdowns to Kyle Williams and 48-yard touchdowns to DeMario Douglas in a 24-19 win.
It was Maye’s fifth straight game with at least three total touchdowns, and the Patriots are a perfect 3-0 at home this season, winning by an average of 17.3 points.
Green Bay is coming off extra rest after beating Carolina 27-19 on Thursday Night Football, a game in which Jordan Love threw three touchdown passes.
But the Packers left that win with fresh injury concerns, including a broken rib for leading receiver Christian Watson, while two offensive linemen sat out Wednesday’s practice.

NFL Betting Odds, Point Spread, Trends
New England is a 2.5-point home favourite at -120 odds, with Green Bay +100 to cover. The money line has the Patriots at -155 and the Packers at +130.
Spread
The total is 45.5, with the Over at -115 and the Under at -105. New England was laying 3.5 points earlier in the week, so backers can now get the Patriots below the key number of three.
Green Bay has been strong against the spread lately, covering in five straight games, and the Under has also cashed in five consecutive contests.
New England failed to cover as a 7-point favourite in Miami, but it is 3-2 ATS in the last five meetings between these teams with the Under cashing in three of those contests.
NFL Player Odds and Props
New England Patriots
Running back Rhamondre Stevenson could see another heavy workload, as TreVeyon Henderson (illness) didn’t practice on Wednesday after missing last week’s game in Miami.
Stevenson carried 19 times for 82 yards against the Dolphins and he gets a favourable matchup against a Packers run defence that ranks 15th, allowing 110.9 yards per game.
Stevenson’s Over/Under for total rushing yards sits at 55.5 for Sunday’s contest.
Green Bay Packers
Love is averaging 280.8 passing yards per game and has 16 touchdowns, so his passing markets will draw plenty of attention.
Watson is the receiver to watch. He leads the team with 42 catches for 708 yards and six touchdowns, but he was limited Wednesday with the broken rib he suffered against Carolina.
You can bet on Watson’s receiving yards total, which is currently set at 71.5.
Green Bay Packers
Love went 30-of-41 for 288 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception against the Panthers, and Green Bay ranks second in the NFL with 271.0 passing yards per game. Even so, the offence is scoring just 21.4 points per game, tied for 23rd.
The problem is that the Packers can’t run the ball. They rank last in the league at 60.6 rushing yards per game, and Josh Jacobs managed just 39 yards on 21 carries against Carolina, which owns the NFL’s worst run defence.
The defence has been better, holding each of its last five opponents to 20 points or fewer, and it sacked Bryce Young six times last week.
C/G Sean Rhyan (ankle) and G/T Travis Glover (knee) did not practice Wednesday, and LG Aaron Banks (knee) was limited. Edge rusher Micah Parsons returned to practice from the PUP list but will be limited to individual drills this week.
New England Patriots
Maye completed 16 of 20 passes for 199 yards and two touchdowns in Miami while adding a rushing score. He has thrown for 1,983 yards, 15 touchdowns and eight interceptions this season, and New England ranks eighth in total offence at 367.3 yards per game.
The defence matches up well with Green Bay’s one-dimensional attack. New England allows 92.6 rushing yards per game (sixth) and 20.3 points per game (ninth), and it sacked Malik Willis five times while adding an interception last week.
TE Hunter Henry (foot), WR A.J. Brown (ankle, knee), and DT Christian Barmore (illness) did not practice Wednesday, and Brown also missed the win in Miami. WR Mack Hollins (calf) was designated to return from injured reserve, which would give Maye another option on a thin receiving corps.
