Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady will headline this Week 6 matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Each of these quarterbacks are sure-fire half of famers and fans are hoping for fireworks when they meet on Sunday.

NFL Week 6 Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The over has been favorable for the Packers lately, as it is 5-1 in their last six games overall and 12-4 in their past 16 games when coming in as the road favorite. The over has also been 4-1 in the last five games between the Packers and Buccaneers. Green Bay is also 4-0 ATS in their last four matchups and 5-1 in their last six games in October.

Meanwhile, the over is 8-0 in the Buccaneers last eight games following a straight up loss in the game prior and 6-0 in their last six games in Week 6. To make the over even more enticing, it is 8-1 in their last nine games when coming in as the underdog in the matchup. However, Tampa Bay is only 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games against NFC opponent and 1-3-1 ATS in their past five games when coming in as the home underdog.

Green Bay Packers

We weren’t able to see the Packers in Week 5 as they had a bye week but they remain a powerhouse in the NFC. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been playing on another level so far this season, leading the league in QBR, while throwing for 1,214 yards with 13 touchdowns and zero interceptions. He has led the charge for the Packers offense, which ranks number one in the league in points per game. They have a tough test this week against the Buccaneers, who rank second in the NFL in overall defense. One big key will be to get back star wide receiver Davante Adams, who appears to be ready to return from his injury. Their offense has been cooking even with him sidelined as the fewest they’ve scored is 30.

As for their defense, it may struggle against the Tom Brady led offense of the Buccaneers as they rank 14th in the NFL in average passing yards per game allowed to opponents. They have also badly missed defensive tackle Kenny Clark, who has been their best player when stopping the run. This unit should expect a strong effort from the Bucs, who scored a season-low 19 points last Thursday.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa Bay has been up and down so far this season. While it has been apparent that they lack chemistry on the offensive side of the ball, they have still been able to have some big offensive games so far. Things came to a grinding halt last Thursday, though, as they mustered just 19 points on the road at Chicago. The offense ranks 11th in the league in points per game this season, which is impressive given their short amount of time to get acquainted with each other. They need to get some bodies back, though, as Chris Godwin, Leonard Fournette and LeSean McCoy missed last week’s game. They haven’t been good on the ground, though, ranking among the bottom 10 teams in the league in rushing yards per game. They need to get better in that regard as they are putting a lot on Brady’s shoulders.

It’s still early in the year but some will view this as a must-win for the Bucs. If they want to prove that they are truly an NFC contender, they have to win games like this at home.
