NFL Week 6 Monday Morning GIF BLITZ!

We’re starting to get into the heart of the season now as week 6 gave us some huge plays and great games. The Cowboys upset the Seahawks in Seattle, the Browns (yes, THOSE Browns) beat the Steelers in a blow out and Joe Flacco threw four touchdown passes in the first quarter in a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Below are this week’s bloopers, blunders and generally odd behavior, followed by some dazzling big yardage pass plays from this week’s action.

The Jaguars and the Titans played each other yesterday and well, someone had to win. Here’s a Jaguars linebacker taking out his own defensive back attempting to make a tackle. Tennessee went on to win the game 16-14, sending the Jags to 0-6 on the season.

If I were the Jags, I’d be outraged that this clown wasn’t flagged for a chop-block. Wait…

Buffalo Bills defensive back Duke Williams barely nudges Patriots receiver Julian Edelman and is somehow flagged for pass interference. The Pats and Bills went back and forth all game long before New England pulled away for good to win 37-22.

I’m guessing Duke is not a fan of subtlety.

Patriots receiver Brian Tyms caught his first NFL pass on Sunday. In triple coverage. For a 43 yard touchdown. The score put New England up 20-7 early in the third quarter. The Bills fought back some but came short, losing to New England 37-22.

Tom Brady must be playing in a new pair of Uggs since that blow out in Kansas City. The guy is on fire.

Here’s Tony Romo catching a premature snap from center Travis Frederick with his shins while making a gun with his hand. Seattle would recover two Cowboy fumbles during the game, but were unable to hold off the Cowboys for a final score of 30-23. It’s Seattle’s first home loss in over 20 games.

“Guys, look! I’m a Cowboy and look what I can do with my ha…what about a football?”

It’s very odd to see the Browns playing well, especially with Brian “The Destroyer” Hoyer behind center. Here’s a nice touch pass from Hoyer to tight end Jordan Cameron that perfectly splits the safeties for a 51 yard touchdown pass. The Browns scored 30 unanswered points to beat the Steelers 31-10.

The Browns have a winning record. The apocalypse might actually be coming sometime soon.

Chicago nose tackle Jeremiah Ratliff hydrates his ear during the Bears and Falcons game in Atlanta. It was evenly matched through the third quarter before the Bears pulled away with solid play on both sides of a ball, winning 27-13 on the road.

You just aren’t going to perform your best when you’ve got warm ears.

Aaron Rodgers hurries to get his team to the line to spike the ball to stop the clock with time running out against Miami. Instead of spiking the ball, Rodgers completes a 12 yard pass to Davante Adams, setting up a game winning four yard touchdown pass to tight end Andrew Quarless to give the Packers the 27-24 last second win.

Aaron Rodgers entire career deserves to be a gif.

Kirk Cousins has been inconsistent in relief of Robert Griffin III. The struggles continued in a close game against Arizona as Washington came within three points with just over two minutes left in the game. Cousins’ inconsistency ended up being the game breaker on their next possession, as Arizona’s Rashad Johnson returned a Cousins interception for a touchdown to seal the win 30-20. Before all of that happened Cousins hit DeSean Jackson on a beautifully executed post route for a 64 yard score.

Nothing says “close play” like a receiver walking into the end zone at his leisure.

This 56 yard touchdown pass to Steve Smith was Joe Flacco’s fifth touchdown pass of the game against the Buccaneers. Note that it is the very beginning of the second quarter. Flacco didn’t have to do much work afterwards as the Ravens easily took care of Tampa Bay 48-17.

A team with uniforms this ugly deserve to play ugly. What are you thinking, Tampa Bay?

You never know which Jay Cutler will come to play for Chicago. Yesterday, the Bears got Mistake-Free Cutler instead of Smokin’ Jay Cutler. Here’s a 74 yard pass to Alson Jeffery on play-action that would set up a 6 yard touchdown run by Matt Forte on the next play, giving the Bears the lead for good in a 27-13 win.

Not only will Jeffery catch all of the balls, he will carry the defensive back for five yards so he’s not tired after chasing him.
