Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals, Thursday

Seattle easily swept Arizona in 2024 and has won seven straight in the series. The Cardinals come off their first loss of the year, 16-15 on Sunday at San Francisco, and also lost No. 1 running back James Conner to a season-ending injury. Trey Benson will get first crack at the job. Seattle lost its season opener but won a second straight game by double digits on Sunday, 44-13 over the Saints. The Seahawks were able to pull starters at the beginning of the fourth and that might help a little in this quick turnaround. Pro Bowl cornerback Devon Witherspoon missed it injured and then Pro Bowl safety Julian Love left injured.

Pick ATS: Arizona

Minnesota Vikings “at” Pittsburgh Steelers

Kickoff at 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday from Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland – the first NFL regular-season game ever from the country. Made complete sense for the Steelers to be the “host” team as the late Dan M. Rooney, father of current team president Art Rooney, served as U.S. ambassador to Ireland from 2009-2012 and was a co-founder of the Ireland Funds charity. Pittsburgh was a 21-14 winner at New England on Sunday thanks to forcing five turnovers as the offence had only 203 yards. Minnesota was without starting QB JJ McCarthy on Sunday but blew out Cincinnati, 48-10. Carson Wentz threw for two scores and is likely to start again this week.

Pick ATS: Pittsburgh (alt +3)

Washington Commanders at Atlanta Falcons

Will the Commanders have QB Jayden Daniels? He missed Sunday’s 41-24 home win over Las Vegas, and No. 1 WR Terry McLaurin exited in the second half. Marcus Mariota threw for a score and rushed for one in Daniels’ absence, and it’s probably more likely than not he starts again. The Falcons benched struggling Michael Penix for high-priced veteran Kirk Cousins in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s embarrassing 30-0 loss at Carolina, but coach Raheem Morris made it clear Penix remains the starter.

Pick ATS: Atlanta (alt +3.5)

New Orleans Saints at Buffalo Bills

New Orleans was projected as the worst team in the NFL this year, and the Saints have done nothing to disprove it. Their seven-game skid is the second-longest active streak in the NFL. Second-year QB Spencer Rattler is now 0-9 in his career as a starter. Maybe it’s time for rookie Tyler Shough? Buffalo has begun the season with three straight 30-point games for the season year in a row. It has won 13 straight home games. Ho-hum, Josh Allen threw for three more scores in Sunday’s win over Miami.

Pick ATS: New Orleans

Cleveland Browns at Detroit Lions

Short week for Detroit off playing in Baltimore on Monday night to conclude Week 3. Cleveland stunned previously unbeaten Green Bay on Sunday, 13-10, to get its first win on a 55-yard field goal from Andre Szmyt as time expired. The NFL’s top-rated defence held the Packers to 230 yards. That unit will keep this offensively challenged team in most games. Cleveland scored all of its points in the final 3:38 to snap an eight-game losing streak.

Pick ATS: Cleveland

Carolina Panthers at New England Patriots

Carolina played its most impressive game in a long while Sunday in a 30-0 blowout win over Atlanta in the Panthers’ home opener. They had allowed at least 17 points in every game the last two seasons and at least 26 points in six straight. Carolina was the only team in the NFL that didn’t lead once in the first two weeks. New England was a 21-14 home loser to Pittsburgh due to five turnovers. No. 1 tailback Rhamondre Stevenson might be benched as he lost two fumbles.

Pick ATS: New England

Los Angeles Chargers at New York Giants

The Chargers are the only unbeaten in the AFC West and rallied for a 23-20 win over Las Vegas in their home opener on Sunday. It’s the first time the Bolts are 3-0 since 2002, and their six-game winning streak overall is the NFL’s longest active. Los Angeles had lost 10 straight games decided by three points or fewer. Expect Giants coach Brian Daboll to bench veteran QB Russell Wilson after another terrible game Sunday in a home loss to Kansas City and go with rookie Jaxson Dart. Top running back Tyrone Tracy, though, will miss some time after injuring his shoulder.

Pick ATS: New York

Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The worst game the Eagles played by far last season was a 33-16 loss in Tampa in Week 4. The Eagles didn’t play well Sunday, either, but rallied from down 19 at home to beat the Rams, 33-26, as Jordan Davis blocked the potential winning L.A. field goal and returned it for a score as time expired, an all-time bad beat for Rams backers. QB Baker Mayfield keeps leading Tampa Bay to comeback wins and did it again Sunday, 29-27 over the Jets. The Bucs are the first team with a game-winning score in final minute of the fourth quarter in three consecutive games to start a season in NFL history. However, future Hall of Famer Mike Evans injured his hamstring.

Pick ATS: Tampa Bay (alt +3.5)

Tennessee Titans at Houston Texans

The teams split last year, each winning on the road. The Titans have zero offence and have now lost nine straight games. Cam Ward is the fifth No. 1 overall QB rookie since 2019 to start his career 0-3. Coach Brian Callahan probably doesn’t finish this season. Houston is one of the surprise 0-3 teams, albeit losing those by only a combined 13 points. With QB CJ Stroud carrying over his 2024 struggles, the Texans haven’t even scored 20 points in a game yet. They are last in the league in scoring offence (12.7 PPG).

Pick ATS: Houston (alt -6.5)

Indianapolis Colts at Los Angeles Rams

The Colts have to be the biggest surprise 3-0 team with former Giants castoff QB Daniel Jones playing like an MVP in his first season with the team. Indy is just the fourth team since 1940 with at least 100 points and zero turnovers in its first three games of a season – this year’s Bills also are one. Jones already has more wins this year than he did in 10 starts last year with the Giants. The Rams had the Eagles beaten on Sunday leading by 19 but had the potential game-winning field goal blocked and returned for a score as time expired. That was the second blocked FG for the Rams in the fourth quarter.

Pick ATS: Los Angeles (alt -3)

Jacksonville Jaguars at San Francisco 49ers

The Niners were hoping that QB Brock Purdy would return from toe/shoulder injuries in Week 3, but he wasn’t able to make it. Mac Jones started and led a win over Arizona but aggravated a knee injury and is now in doubt for Week 4. But there is optimism on Purdy. However, the Niners lost Pro Bowl pass-rusher Nick Bosa to a season-ending injury. Jacksonville was a 17-10 winner over Houston on Sunday, forcing three Texans turnovers. The Jaguars have nine takeaways this season after thee all of last year.

Pick ATS: Jacksonville

Baltimore Ravens at Kansas City Chiefs

Baltimore is on a short week after hosting Detroit on Monday to end Week 3. The Ravens were down two key defensive starters in tackle Nnamdi Madubuike and Kyle Van Noy. They have combined for 43 sacks since for the Ravens since the start of 2023. Lamar Jackson hasn’t been able to get past Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in the AFC yet. The Ravens opened the 2024 campaign in K.C. in the Kickoff Game and lost 27-20. Kansas City avoided a 0-3 start with a 22-9 win at the Giants on Sunday night, but the offence continued to largely sputter.

Pick ATS: Baltimore

Chicago Bears at Las Vegas Raiders

The Bears got the first win of the Ben Johnson era and his creative offensive play-calling finally showed up Sunday in a 31-14 win over Dallas. Caleb Williams tied his career high with four TD passes and snapped a six-game home losing streak. Las Vegas was on a short week Sunday, and it showed in a 41-21 loss at Washington. The Raiders’ O-Line has been a major issue early on with QB Geno Smith getting pressured 19 times and sacked five times in that defeat.

Pick ATS: Las Vegas

Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys

Sunday night game and obviously the Micah Parsons returning to Dallas story line will dominate. The Cowboys will be without Pro Bowl receiver CeeDee Lamb as he’s expected to miss up to a month. Lamb, who opened the season with consecutive 100-yard efforts, suffered the injury with 8:34 left in the first quarter of Sunday’s loss in Chicago. George Pickens will become the Cowboys’ No. 1 receiver while Lamb is out. The Packers got caught in a major trap game Sunday and lost, 13-10 in Cleveland, on a 55-yard field goal as time expired. Green Bay led 10-0 with under four minutes left. It had won 300 straight games when up double-digit points in the final four minutes of the four quarter.

Pick ATS: Green Bay

New York Jets at Miami Dolphins, Monday

First MNF kick at 7:15 ET on ESPN. These AFC East rivals split last season, each winning at home. They are both at 0-3 and going nowhere anytime soon without a long-term answer at quarterback. Not clear if Jets starting QB Justin Fields will return from a concussion after missing Sunday’s loss in Tampa. Usually, QBs only miss one game in the protocol, but all concussions are different. Miami coach Mike McDaniel is on the hottest seat in the NFL. The Dolphins’ defence has allowed nine total TDs and zero turnovers to opposing QBs this year.

Pick ATS: Miami

Cincinnati Bengals at Denver Broncos, Monday

Second MNF kick at 8:15 ET on ABC. The Bengals began life – again – without injured QB Joe Burrow on Sunday, and it didn’t go well as Jake Browning had two picks in a 48-10 blowout loss at Minnesota. It was the largest loss in franchise history and snapped Cincy’s seven-game winning streak, one shy of the team record. Denver blew a 20-13 fourth-quarter lead at the Chargers and lost 23-20 – its second straight defeat on a last-second field goal. Broncos second-year QB Bo Nix has regressed so far.

Pick ATS: Cincinnati
