NFL Week 10 Predictions: Best Picks Against the Spread

Here’s a quick look at all the Week 10 matchups with Sports Interaction’s NFL odds. Games Sunday unless noted.

Los Angeles Chargers at Oakland Raiders, Thursday

This will be the last-ever rivalry game between the Chargers and Raiders in Oakland with the Raiders moving to Las Vegas next year. In fact, it will be the last prime-time game there unless by some miracle a late-season Raiders game is flexed into the Sunday night window. The Chargers swept the Raiders in 2018 by a combined 30 points.

Point spread: Pick’em

Pick ATS: Chargers

Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears

First meeting of season between NFC North rivals. Chicago is in a tailspin on a four-game losing streak and the offence getting worse by the week. Might QB Mitchell Trubisky be benched this week? Detroit lost 31-24 at Oakland on Sunday despite 406 yards passing and three touchdowns from Matthew Stafford. Detroit had a final play at the Raiders’ 1, but Stafford’s pass was incomplete.

Point spread: Bears -3

Pick ATS: Chicago

Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals

Interesting schedule for the Ravens as they played and upset the previously unbeaten Patriots on Sunday night in one of the marquee games of the year and now they travel to the winless Bengals, who might have their worst team in franchise history. Cincinnati is off its bye week and will make a change at quarterback, benching long-time starter Andy Dalton for rookie Ryan Finley. The Bengals played fairly well in Baltimore in Week 6, losing 23-17.

Point spread: Ravens -10

Pick ATS: Cincinnati

Buffalo Bills at Cleveland Browns

Matchup of quarterbacks taken in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft in Buffalo’s Josh Allen and Cleveland’s Baker Mayfield. Both are struggling this year. Cleveland lost its fourth in a row on Sunday, 24-19 at Denver, and first-year coach Freddie Kitchens might not make it to Year 2. Buffalo beat a bad Washington team 24-9.

Point spread: Browns -3

Pick ATS: Cleveland

Kansas City Chiefs at Tennessee Titans

The Chiefs were without superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes for a second straight game Sunday due to a knee injury but they knocked off the Vikings 26-23. Harrison Butker kicked a 44-yard field goal as time expired. Decent chance that Mahomes returns this week. Tennessee lost 30-20 at Carolina. Ryan Tannehill threw two interceptions and was sacked four times.

Point spread: TBA (on Mahomes)

Pick ATS: TBA

Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints

Both teams out of their bye weeks in very different situations. Many thought Falcons owner Arthur Blank would fire Coach Dan Quinn during the bye with his hugely disappointing team at 1-7 and on a six-game losing streak. Yet Quinn is still employed. QB Matt Ryan missed Week 8 with an ankle injury but should return. The Saints, meanwhile, are on a six-game winning streak and atop the NFC South at 7-1.

Point spread: Saints -12.5

Pick ATS: Atlanta

New York Giants at New York Jets

It already has been a long NFL season for New York football fans and it’s not likely to get much better the rest of the way with both clubs in full-blown rebuilding situations. At least the winner gets New York City bragging rights even though they play in New Jersey. Short week for the Giants as they hosted Dallas on Monday.

Point spread: Giants -2 (may change depending on Monday)

Pick ATS: Giants

Arizona Cardinals at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

First meeting between Arizona’s Kyler Murray and Tampa Bay’s Jameis Winston, both former No. 1 overall picks and Heisman Trophy-winning quarterbacks in college. Current Bucs coach Bruce Arians coached the Cardinals from 2013-17. Arizona on extra rest after coming up three points short of a home upset of the unbeaten 49ers last Thursday. The Bucs lost in Seattle in overtime Sunday.

Point spread: Bucs -4

Pick ATS: Tampa Bay

Miami Dolphins at Indianapolis Colts

There will be no winless season in Miami as the Dolphins beat the equally terrible Jets 26-18 on Sunday for their first win. Ryan Fitzpatrick had three touchdown passes, two to rookie receiver Preston Williams. He would leave injured, however. The Colts lost starting QB Jacoby Brissett in the second quarter to injury and lost in Pittsburgh 26-24. Still too early to say if Brissett will play here. Brian Hoyer would start if he can’t go.

Point spread: Colts -11.5

Pick ATS: Miami

Carolina Panthers at Green Bay Packers

There won’t be a matchup of former NFL MVPs in Cam Newton and Aaron Rodgers as Newton will sit again with a foot injury. His season may well be over. The Panthers improved to 5-1 behind backup Kyle Allen with Sunday’s 30-20 win over the Titans. MVP candidate Christian McCaffrey had three more touchdowns. Green Bay’s four-game winning streak was snapped in a 26-11 loss at the Chargers. Rodgers had just 61 yards passing through three quarters.

Point spread: Packers -5.5

Pick ATS: Green Bay

Los Angeles Rams at Pittsburgh Steelers

Rams come out of their bye week on a two-game winning streak. Pittsburgh won its third in a row to get to .500 Sunday, 26-24 over the Colts. Sans injured starting running back James Conner, the Steelers had only 273 total yards. Minkah Fitzpatrick returned a pick 96 yards for a touchdown.

Point spread: Rams -4

Pick ATS: Pittsburgh

Minnesota Vikings at Dallas Cowboys

Sunday night game and a potential playoff preview. Dallas at a bit of a disadvantage on a short week after visiting the Giants on Monday. Minnesota’s four-game winning streak was snapped in a 26-23 loss in Kansas City on Sunday. NFL rushing leader Dalvin Cook was held to 71 yards on 21 carries. Top receiver Adam Thielen returned after missing a game with a hamstring injury but then left in the first quarter after aggravating it so he’s unlikely this week.

Point spread: Cowboys -2.5 (could change depending on Monday)

Pick ATS: Dallas

Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers, Monday

Seattle could make the NFC West race very interesting with an upset, while the unbeaten Niners (now the only unbeaten with the Patriots losing) could all but end the race with a victory. San Francisco is on extra rest after escaping 28-25 at Arizona last Thursday. The Niners ended a 10-game losing streak in this series with a home upset victory last year against the Seahawks in their most recent meeting.

Point spread: 49ers -6.5

Pick ATS: San Francisco
