NFL Point Spreads Week 6: Best Picks Against the Spread
Two more teams are on the bye this week: Detroit and New Orleans. Here’s a quick look at all the Week 6 matchups with Sports Interaction’s Week 6 NFL odds. Games Sunday unless noted.
Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants, Thursday
The Eagles look for their fourth straight victory in the series, although the Giants covered in both close defeats in 2017. Philly’s only loss in the past eight in the series was in 2016 at MetLife Stadium. Both teams lost Sunday – the Eagles already have matched last season’s loss total. Check out our complete betting preview of this game right here.
Pick ATS: NY Giants
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons
All that good karma around the Bucs and Ryan Fitzpatrick following their 2-0 start has vanished following Tampa’s 48-10 embarrassment in Chicago in Week 4. The Bucs were off last week to lick their wounds and already have announced that Jameis Winston will return to his role as starting quarterback. Atlanta is just putrid on defence and has dropped three straight.
Pick ATS: Atlanta
Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals sit alone in first place in the AFC North following Sunday’s comeback win over the Miami Dolphins. Cincinnati trailed 17-0 in the third yet still won by 10. Pittsburgh probably saved its season with a home blowout win over Atlanta. Antonio Brown caught two TD passes to move to second on the franchise’s all-time list.
Pick ATS: Cincinnati

Los Angeles Chargers at Cleveland Browns
In the 2016-17 seasons, the Browns had one total victory. That came Week 16 of 2016 against the Chargers in Cleveland. The Browns already have two this year and could easily be 5-0. They won a slugfest in overtime vs. Baltimore on Sunday. Philip Rivers threw for 339 yards and two scores in Sunday’s easy win over the Raiders for the Bolts.
Pick ATS: Cleveland
Seattle Seahawks vs. Oakland Raiders
This game is from Wembley Stadium in London – quite the long flight for both. The Seahawks gave the unbeaten Rams all they could handle Sunday but lost 33-31 at home. Oakland was blown out by the Chargers on Sunday and managed only 289 yards.
Pick ATS: Oakland
Chicago Bears at Miami Dolphins
The first-place Bears likely wish they weren’t on the bye last week as they come off their best game in years, a 48-10 rout of Tampa Bay. Mitch Trubisky had easily the top outing of his young career with six TD passes, and new linebacker Khalil Mack was named NFC Defensive Player of the Month. The Dolphins’ 3-0 start is a distant memory as they have lost back-to-back games by double digits.
Pick ATS: Chicago

Arizona Cardinals at Minnesota Vikings
There have been just two teams to finish a season at 0-16. There won’t be a third. Arizona was the last to get a win, doing so Sunday in San Francisco. The Cardinals forced five turnovers. Minnesota won a rematch of last season’s NFC title game with a 23-21 decision in Philadelphia. Kirk Cousins had another big game and Adam Thielen another 100-yard receiving game.
Pick ATS: Arizona
Indianapolis Colts at New York Jets
The Colts were down about half a dozen injured starters Thursday night and it showed in a 38-24 loss at New England to drop Indy to 1-4. Andrew Luck is playing really well, but there’s just little else there. The Jets ended a three-game losing streak with 34-16 rout of Denver. Sam Darnold completed only 10 passes but three were for touchdowns. Isaiah Crowell rushed for a franchise-record 219 yards.
Pick ATS: NY Jets
Carolina Panthers at Washington Redskins
The Redskins on a short week as they were in New Orleans on Monday. The Panthers got a miracle win Sunday on a Graham Gano career-high and franchise-record 63-yard field goal with one second left to beat the Giants 33-31.
Pick ATS: Carolina

Buffalo Bills at Houston Texans
Despite having just 223 yards, the Bills were 13-12 winners Sunday over Tennessee on a 46-yard field goal as time expired. Rookie Josh Allen threw for a scant 82 yards but did run for a score. The Texans were 19-16 overtime winners over Dallas on Sunday night and have won back-to-back games for the first time in two years.
Point spread: Texans -8.5
Pick ATS: Houston
Los Angeles Rams at Denver Broncos
The Rams remain the NFC’s only unbeaten team with a 33-31 wild win in Seattle. Todd Gurley rushed for three scores. L.A. did lose top receivers Brandin Cooks and Cooper Kupp to concussions so that needs to be monitored this week. Denver laid an egg on a short week in getting routed at the Jets. The Broncos were gashed for 323 rushing yards.
Pick ATS: Denver
Jacksonville Jaguars at Dallas Cowboys
Jacksonville dropped 502 yards on the Chiefs but lost 30-14 because of five turnovers – all by Blake Bortles (four interceptions, one fumble). Top running back Leonard Fournette sat with a hamstring injury and isn’t likely here. Dallas fell to 0-3 on the road (2-0 at home) with an overtime loss in Houston. Coach Jason Garrett made a very curious call in OT to punt on fourth-and-1 at the Houston 42.
Point spread: Jaguars -2
Pick ATS: Dallas

Baltimore Ravens at Tennessee Titans
Baltimore allowed just 12 points Sunday in Cleveland but lost in overtime. If Michael Crabtree hangs on to a late Joe Flacco pass in the end zone, the Ravens probably win it. The Titans had a three-game winning streak snapped in a 13-12 loss in Buffalo. Two defensive starters sat with injury and Pro Bowl left tackle Taylor Lewan left with a foot injury.
Pick ATS: Baltimore
Kansas City Chiefs at New England Patriots
The Sunday night game, and certainly one of the most important in the AFC this year with potential playoff tiebreaker ramifications. Defensive genius Bill Belichick has a few extra days to prepare for that high-powered Kansas City offence with his Patriots thumping the Colts on Thursday in Week 5. The Chiefs are the AFC’s lone unbeaten team. Click here for our full preview of the Sunday Night Football game.
Pick ATS: New England
San Francisco 49ers at Green Bay Packers, Monday
The Niners were given a few Monday night games this year because they were thought as a rising NFC power under new star quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Alas, Jimmy G is done for the season and the Niners are now an also-ran again. They lost at home to previously winless Arizona on Sunday. The Packers kept shooting themselves in the foot in a loss in Detroit. Mason Crosby missed four field goals and a PAT. Aaron Rodgers threw for 442 yards and three scores but lost two fumbles.
Pick ATS: Green Bay
