NFC Championship Game Player Props and Betting Odds: Commanders vs. Eagles

NFL: Washington Commanders at Baltimore Ravens

Jayden Daniels has thrown multiple TD passes in two career playoff starts as he looks to become the first rookie quarterback in NFL history to lead his team to the Super Bowl.

History is on the line in Sunday’s NFC Championship Game between the Commanders and Eagles as Jayden Daniels looks to do something no other rookie quarterback has ever done, while Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley look to take one step closer to solidifying their legacies in a quest to win the Super Bowl.

Here’s my top three player props for Sunday’s Commanders vs. Eagles NFC Championship Game.

Jalen Hurts Under 182.5 passing yards (-115)

My personal pick is an Eagles win in the NFC Championship Game, so hear me out when I say I’m fading Jalen Hurts’ passing yards total of just 182.5 yards. Hurts has failed to top that number in three straight games and six of his last seven. He’s dealt with a concussion at he end of the regular season and he banged his knee up last week against the Rams, so health could be a factor. Let’s also remember that he’s never surpassed 160 passing yards in any of the four career playoff wins he has under his belt.

Additionally, this is a cold weather game, which never benefits the pass, and Philadelphia has leaned heavily on running back Saquon Barkley. Barkley rushed for 205 yards and two TDs last week and he’s averaging almost 130 rushing yards per game through the regular season and playoffs. Clearly, this team’s main offensive attack comes on the ground, not in the air.

Jayden Daniels Over 1.5 passing TDs (+105)

Jayden Daniels has clearly had a special year. He’s a lock to win Offensive Rookie of the Year and he has a chance to become the first rookie quarterback in NFL history to lead his team to the Super Bowl. While I don’t think the Commanders can match up with the Eagles, I still think Daniels puts on a show.

Daniels has thrown for multiple TDs in both playoff starts and the only game over the last two months in which he didn’t have multiple TD passes was the regular season finale that saw him take a few snaps before being rested the rest of the way. And don’t forget, Daniels threw for five TDs in a win against Philadelphia just six weeks ago.

Saquon Barkley Over 147.5 rushing + receiving yards (+100)

I think Barkley will hit this number in rushing yards alone, so the Over is a no-brainer. Keeping in mind everything I already said about Barkley, Washington obviously knows the Eagles offensive game plan will run through their star rusher. In the past, head coach Nick Sirianni has shown he’s not afraid to mix things up, so I could see him targeting Barkley a few times in the air this week, although I still expect Barkley to put up big numbers on the ground.
