The Green Bay Packers opened as an 11.5-point favorite for their home game against the Atlanta Falcons tonight, but that line has ballooned all the way up to -13 as of Monday afternoon. Still, with the Packers on a 7-2 roll against the spread, Sports Interaction is seeing about 70 percent of its bets coming in on Green Bay.
“Considering last week’s performance against New England, you have to think the Packers are the favorite in the NFC right now,” a Sports Interaction oddsmaker said. “That’s certainly the message we’re getting today with the action we’re taking on the Packers even though they’re set as huge favorites.”
As of now, Sports Interaction wants to keep the line where it is instead of moving up to the key number of 14, but the price on that number could change as the game nears.
“We’re seeing a ton of Green Bay action,” a Sports Interaction oddsmaker said. “Lambeau is a tough place to play for any team, let alone a Dome team like the Falcons. Aaron Rodgers has not thrown a pick at home this season and they are going for their seventh win in a row there tonight.”
While the Falcons have been a major disappointment this year, they have pulled it together a bit over the last few weeks. They have won three of their last four but are only 5-7 against the spread this season and just 1-5 against the number on the road.
Current weather forecasts expect a low of 23 degrees with a 90-percent chance of precipitation and 4 mph winds. Tonight’s total is holding at 55 points, down half a point from the open.
