No, you don’t need glasses. The New York Giants are favoured in a Week 15 matchup despite having lost nine straight games and missing their starting quarterback – but bettors should be wary as the G-Men welcome the Miami Dolphins to MetLife Stadium on Sunday. Not only have the Giants been a terrible cover option as a home fave in recent years, they’ll be in tough against a Miami team that has been playing inspired football of late.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Giants are a favourite for just the fourth time all season – and the previous three times didn’t go so well, with New York having gone 1-2 SU and ATS coming into Week 15. In fact, The Giants are 4-8-1 ATS in their last 13 games as a home favourite – and even more alarming is the fact that they’re 7-6 SU. Miami, on the other hand, has covered four of its previous five games as a road underdog, most recently last week’s 22-21 loss to the Jets at +5.

The total is sitting at 46, slightly lower than where it opened. The Dolphins have seen more than their share of low-scoring results against the NFC East, having converted the Under in nine of their last 11 meetings. And these teams have finished below the number in six of their previous seven encounters. But both teams own identical 4-2 O/U records over their last six games, while the Dolphins are 6-3 to the Over in their last nine vs. the NFC.

Miami Dolphins

Miami QB Ryan Fitzpatrick might not get any MVP votes this season, but he deserves something after leading this Dolphins to three more victories than most people thought they would earn. And he might have his leading weapon back in the lineup this week, with wide receiver DeVante Parker returning to practice in a non-contact jersey. Parker, who missed Miami’s Week 14 loss with a concussion, has 55 catches for 882 yards and six TDs..

New York Giants

Can Eli Manning stem the bleeding? Manning made a less-than-triumphant return to action in place of injured rookie QB Daniel Jones last week – and while he looked surprisingly good early on, he faded in the second half as the Giants dropped a 23-17 overtime heartbreaker to rival Philadelphia. Manning might be getting an additional weapon, though, with tight end Evan Engram (foot) returning to practice after missing the previous three games.
