At 5-5 the Colts are back in the AFC playoff race, while the 6-3 Bills got back into the win column in Week 10 to remain atop the AFC East.

Buffalo doesn’t have much separation in the AFC East though, with New England hot on their trail. The Colts trail division-leading Tennessee by three games in the AFC South, so who’s to say another wild-card matchup between the Colts and Bills couldn’t be in the cards again? Kickoff at Highmark Stadium Sunday is at 1 p.m. EST.

The NFL odds have Buffalo as a 7.5-point favourite to win, with the over-under at 50.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Bills are on quite a run at home, winning 10 of their last 11 at Highmark Stadium and losing against the spread just once in their home contests in 2021. Indianapolis is 3-1 against the spread themselves on the road and tend to play in high-scoring battles with the over being 6-1 in their last seven road games.

This game features two top-10 offences when it comes to scoring as well. Buffalo’s second in the NFL at 31 points per game and Indianapolis eighth at 26.8. The Colts lead the entire NFL with 99 points in their last three games — they’ve hit their stride with Carson Wentz under centre.

Indianapolis Colts

The Colts survived a scare in Week 10 defeating Jacksonville by under a touchdown, a 23-17 final. Wentz only passed for 180 yards on 34 attempts but didn’t turn the ball over. The Colts went back to their ferocious rushing attack led by Jonathan Taylor as the sophomore hit 116 rushing yards on 21 carries. Taylor’s now tied for the league lead in rushing with 937 yards.

On defence all of DeForest Buckner, Darius Leonard, and Xavier Rhodes are nicked up and the first two didn’t practice Wednesday. If Indianapolis is even without one of these defensive studs, it’ll make stopping the Bills’ high-flying offence that much harder.

Buffalo Bills

After a major hiccup in Week 9 at Jacksonville, Buffalo got back to their normal ways last Sunday in a 45-17 stomping of the Jets. The Bills put up 489 yards of offence in the win led by Josh Allen’s 366 passing yards, as well as 139 rushing yards by a committee of ball carriers. Allen’s now fifth in the NFL with 2,602 passing yards to go with 19 touchdowns and six interceptions.

The Bills also remain best in points allowed per game at 15. Opponents are putting up under 275 yards of offence a game on Buffalo, which is also a league-best and why Buffalo’s a true contender.
