The road has not been kind to the Indianapolis Colts but they’re hoping for a more favourable outcome when they travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium.

Point Spread: Bengals -11 Date: Oct. 29, 1:00 PM ET Location: Paul Brown Stadium – Cincinnati, Ohio

Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Bengals opened up as 10-point favourites on the Sports Interaction NFL odds board but the lined quickly moved up to -11. The total opened at 41 and has moved up slightly to 41.5. Cincy dropped to 2-4 straight up and 3-3 against the spread after last weekend’s setback against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The under is 4-2 in the Bengals’ six games this season.

The Colts got blown out at home to their division rival Jacksonville and slipped to 2-5 SU and 3-4 ATS on the season. The over is 5-2 in Indy’s seven games this campaign.

More than 95 percent of Sports Interaction bettors think this game will play over the 41.5-point total. The playoffs aren’t likely for either of these two sides. The Bengals and Colts are both among the 10 teams with the longest odds to win the Super Bowl according to the Sports Interaction NFL futures board.

Indianapolis Colts

Jacksonville was the first team to shut out the Colts since the New York Jets did it to a young Peyton Manning in a playoff game in 2002. The Jags led the Colts in total yards 467 to 147 after the game’s first three quarters.

The news gets even worse for Colts fans. The club lost three starters to injury during the course of Sunday’s game in CB Rashaan Melvin, C Ryan Kelly, LB John Simon and S Malik Hooker.

Indianapolis is allowing a league-high 31.7 points per game this season and the club has yet to win or cover the spread in any of its three road games this season. The Colts have been outscored 128-49 away from Lucas Oil Stadium this year.

Cincinnati Bengals

The ball just isn’t bouncing the Bengals’ way this season. Cincinnati is second last in total takeaways through six games with just four and only the winless Cleveland Browns have a worse turnover than Cincy’s -9. Their opponents have fumbled the ball only three times in games against them and in each case the Bengals failed to pick up the loose ball and create a turnover.
