It was an all-around phenomenal offensive performance and a terrible defensive showing for the Chargers, who blew a 17-point, fourth-quarter lead. They did improve to 6-4 on the season and are in the thick of the playoff race.

The Denver Broncos are coming off of their bye week with a 5-5 overall record. The extra time off surely helped them reset from their 30-13 defeat against the Philadelphia Eagles. Division games are usually tough to predict, but let’s see if one team holds the upper hand.

NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

As you might expect from an explosive offense like what the Chargers have, the over has cashed out in six of their last seven games when coming into the matchup as the road favorite. Los Angeles hasn’t had nearly as much consistency during the month of November though. They are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games during this month but hope to improve upon that this week against their division rivals.

It won’t be easy though as the Broncos are 9-1 ATS in their last ten when scoring less than 15 points in their previous matchup. They are also 11-5 ATS in their past 16 when coming off an ATS loss. Unlike the Chargers, Denver has seen the under cash out in their last four games overall and in their past five during the month of November.

Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers definitely don’t lack in talent on either side of the football. They are the sixth-ranked passing offense for a reason as Justin Herbert, Keenan Allen, Mike Williams and Jared Cook combine to make up an elite group. Even Austin Ekeler has been a major part of the passing game with his ability to create separation against any linebackers in coverage. The question is what’s going on with the defense? There’s plenty of talent and head coach Brandon Staley is supposed to be a defensive guru, but they are one of the worst units these days. They’re giving up 26.5 points per game, which is the sixth-most in the NFL.

Denver Broncos

Running the football is the biggest thing that the Broncos have to focus on. Denver’s offense is ranked 20th in the league right now and there is just zero rhythm and consistency. Teddy Bridgewater has been solid at quarterback but he isn’t bringing the most out of this offense. Their backfield consists of Melvin Gordon and Javonte Williams, two backs that aren’t afraid to get physical down in the trenches, but they need to thrive for this offense to produce. They should have plenty of success this week as the Chargers have the worst rush defense in the NFL, giving up 145.1 yards per game on the ground.
