Cardinals vs. Packers Point Spread: NFL Week 13 Odds, Prediction
That new era begins Sunday afternoon at Lambeau Field, when the Packers host an Arizona Cardinals team that will also be on the outside looking in come playoff time. Each team comes in on a losing skid, with the Packers having dropped two straight and the Cards losers of three in a row.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
While neither team is likely to reach the postseason, oddsmakers still have them in completely different stratospheres, making the host Packers two-touchdown favourites in this one. But there are a couple of reasons to like the visitors in this one, starting with the fact that Green Bay is just 2-8-1 ATS in its last 11 games against NFC opponents. The Cardinals have been a decent cover play, having gone 7-3 ATS in their previous 10 after failing to cover last time out.
With the total set at 46, the Cardinals and Packers both boast strong over trends coming into Week 13. The visitors are 16-7 to the over in their previous 23 road games and have gone 5-2 O/U in their previous seven games overall. The Packers are a red-hot 13-3 to the over in their last 16 games against teams below the .500 mark, and have surpassed the total in 21 of their previous 27 games at Lambeau Field.
Arizona Cardinals
It’s the time of the year when weather can have a major impact on teams’ fortunes – and unfortunately for the Cardinals, it could very well work against them this weekend. Snow and cold temperatures are expected in Wisconsin, which doesn’t bode well for an Arizona-based team led by a QB in Josh Rosen who played his college ball in California. The Cards could be in tough against a Packers team that is 22-4 in December home games over the past 11+ years.
Green Bay Packers
While any team with Aaron Rodgers is a threat to do damage through the air, the Packers could be well-positioned to use Aaron Jones to punish the Arizona run defence. Jones has been a revelation since taking over as the team’s no-doubt No. 1 running back, averaging an incredible six yards per carry on the season with five touchdowns in his past five games. Arizona has allowed the third-most rushing yards in the NFL while giving up 4.5 yards per attempt.
