Bills vs. Steelers Point Spread: NFL Week 13 Odds, Prediction
The Bills lost further ground on the AFC East-leading new England Patriots with last weekend’s 23-19 loss in Houston and have now fallen to defeat in for of their past seven contests including three of four away dates. The Steelers sorely missed injured quarterback Aaron Rodgers while falling 31-28 in Chicago last weekend and have fallen out of the SFC playoff picture while losing four of their past six contests.
The Bills have emerged as 3.5-point road favourites on the NFL Week 13 odds. The Steelers are pegged as +155 underdogs on the NFL moneyline and the total is listed at 46.5.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The Bills will be making their first appearance in Pittsburgh since 2019 sporting a 4-1 SU record in their past five dates with the Steelers, capped by a decisive 31-17 victory in Buffalo on Wild Card Weekend two years ago. Buffalo has dominated the Steelers during their 4-1 head-to-head run, claiming victory by an average margin of 16.8 points, but with Pittsburgh averaging just 13.6 points per game over that stretch, the UNDER has gone 4-1. However, a scoring touch has eluded the Bills at times on the road, where they have scored 19 or fewer points in three of their past four. That has not helped this team at the sportsbooks, where they have covered in just three of their past nine overall.
While the Steelers have managed to score an average of 31 points in their past two dates, the continued absence of Aaron Rodgers and the threat of inclement weather at game time on Sunday could complicate matters. Overall, Pittsburgh has outscored opponents by a 61-32 margin during a two-game home win streak and averaged 32 points per game over their past three home dates but overall, this team has covered in just four of six outings.
Buffalo Bills
In the wake of his spectacular six-TD performance in the Bills’ 44-32 win over Tampa Bay, Josh Allen was hung out to dry by his offensive line in last week’s debacle in Houston. Allen was sacked eight times while tossing for 253 yards, no scores, and two picks, ending a run of eight games with at least one TD pass. And with bad weather in the forecast and the team’s injury report featuring key personnel on the offensive line and offence, Allen could struggle to rebound. Among the injured are tackles Dion Dawkins and Spencer brown, who both remain questionable, receiver Joshua Palmer and tight end Dalton Kincaid. To fill the gap, the Bills acquired veteran receiver Brandin Cooks earlier this week. The 32-year-old saw limited action this season with New Orleans, but Khalil Shakhir remains the downfield target to watch after recording a season-high 110 receiving yards last weekend, and has appeal on the NFL player props as a -115 bet top 47.5 receiving yards.
Pittsburgh Steelers
While it is looking likely that Aaron Rodgers will suit up for Sunday’s contest, it remains unclear if he has fully recovered from his wrist injury. Rodgers has found the end zone in each of his five home appearances this season, compiling seven total TD passes, and is worth a value bet to toss for multiple scores and pay out on +120 odds. But with top target DK Metcalf sidelined by injury, it may be a busy day for running back Jaylen Warren, who has been a steady producer while topping 60 rushing yards in five of six outings, and should be taken as a -118 bet to record OVER 63.5 yards.
