Bills vs. Jaguars Predictions: NFL Playoffs Wild Card Player Props

After a long and eventful 18 weeks of regular-season football, the NFL playoffs are finally here. The action gets underway with Wild Card Weekend, which gives football fans six games to enjoy over the course of three days. One of the best games on the Wild Card Weekend slate takes place on Sunday at 1 PM ET in Jacksonville, where the Jaguars will host the Buffalo Bills in a game that could go either way, and the odds reflect this uncertainty.

With so much on the line, it’s time to get into my player prop predictions and picks for Sunday’s contest.

Bills vs. Jaguars NFL Player Prop Odds and Betting Trends

This game is expected to be a high-scoring affair, and the odds certainly indicate that we could get a barnburner on Sunday. With that in mind, it’s not a surprise that there are a couple of players who are into minus-money in the anytime touchdown market, including Travis Etienne Jr. (-165), James Cook (-155), and Josh Allen (-135). On the quarterback front, the passing touchdown lines for both Allen and Trevor Lawrence are set at 1.5, with plus-money to the over on both counts.

Elsewhere, Jakobi Meyers and Parker Washington are listed atop the odds board in the receiving yards department, with the lines for both wideouts set at 48.5 yards respectively. Both running backs are expected to be productive, with Cook’s rushing yards prop set at 80.5 and Etienne Jr. checking in at 65.5 yards.

Best Bills vs. Jaguars player prop bet: Josh Allen anytime touchdown scorer (-135)

For my best prop bet in this game, we will take QB Josh Allen to find the end zone with his legs for the 15th time this season. Given the situation at hand, Allen will likely have to be in do-it-all mode for his team on the road in this one. Over the last five years, the Bills have often turned to their superstar quarterback to carry them in big games, and Allen has typically used his legs to do so.

Given the fact that the Jaguars defense has played a string of bad or middling quarterbacks in recent weeks, this could be a spot for Allen to tally yet another touchdown on the ground, and potentially even add a second rushing touchdown on Sunday.

Bills vs. Jaguars player prop pick: Trevor Lawrence over 1.5 passing touchdowns (+100)

For my second player prop bet this weekend, let’s look at QB Trevor Lawrence to throw for two or more passing touchdowns. Lawrence has been playing as well as any quarterback in football over the last eight weeks, and that momentum should continue into this week. In fact, Lawrence has thrown for 18 touchdowns over the past seven weeks, and he’s tossed at least two touchdowns in six of those games.

The Bills defence is nothing to write home about, and Lawrence should see more success through the air in a game where the total is over 50. The Jaguars could put up plenty of points, and Lawrence should easily toss two or more on Sunday.

Bills vs. Jaguars player prop prediction: Brenton Strange over 3.5 receptions (-105)

Both teams employ heavy use of their respective tight ends, and Brenton Strange should be able to keep his positive momentum up from a week ago into this matchup. The Penn State product tallied five receptions and a touchdown in Week 18, and he also put up eight receptions over the previous two weeks to go along with a touchdown.

Buffalo’s defence has fared well against tight ends this season, but has recently struggled, giving up 4 receptions to opposing tight ends in two of their last three games. With Strange having cleared this number in two of the past three games and in six of his 12 games played this season, let’s roll with that trend to continue this weekend.
