The Atlanta Falcons are one of only two unbeaten teams through the first three weeks of the season – and they’re in good position to extend that run as they host the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon. The Falcons come into this one as one of the highest-scoring teams in the NFL, and have covered in back-to-back weeks after missing out by a point in their opener. The Bills are coming off an impressive home win over Denver and share the lead in the AFC East.

Early NFL odds have the Falcons set as 8-point favourites.

Atlanta is getting more than a touchdown against visiting Buffalo. Last year the Falcons were at least 7-point favourites three times, covering twice and coming oh-so-close in a six-point win over New Orleans to end the regular season. But the Bills have been on a roll after being written off to open the year; Buffalo has covered in each of its first three games after doing so just six times all of last season. Sports Interaction bettors are leaning 63 percent toward the Falcons.

The trend is much stronger regarding the game total of 48.5, with a whopping 97 percent early NFL betting on Sports Interaction backing the over. The thought process here is a simple one: The Falcons have played a stunning 12 consecutive overs at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, with teams combining to average nearly 62 points (!) in those contests. The alternate total is a solid play here, with Sports Interaction offering +130 for over 52.5.

Buffalo Bills

Buffalo has looked good so far, but history will record that the Bills didn’t score a single first-quarter point in the month of September. In fact, a Graham Gano field goal represents the only first-quarter scoring in any of Buffalo’s three games to date. This flies in the face of Atlanta’s run of high-scoring home games, but you can get +255 if you wager on the first touchdown of the game coming in the second quarter.

As you might expect with a team this prolific, the Falcons have scored the first touchdown in each of their first three outings; Sports Interaction has +120 odds on an Atlanta TD being the first scoring play of the game. And with the Falcons having already posted four quarters with 10+ points compared to just one by the Bills, taking Atlanta at -213 to record the highest-scoring quarter in the game looks like another solid play.
