Bills vs. Eagles Point Spread: NFL Week 12 Odds, Prediction
The Eagles once again silenced naysayers with Monday night’s 21-17 win in Kansas City, and have seen three of their four recent wins coming against legitimate Super Bowl contenders. The Bills snapped a two-game slide with last weekend’s 32-6 rout of the New York Jets, but have won and covered just once in their past four road contests.
Philadelphia leads the way as 3.5-point favourites on the Bills vs Eagles odds. The Bills lag as +145 NFL moneyline underdogs, and the total is listed at 48.5.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The Eagles have emerged as the class of the NFC during a league-best 9-1 start that has included recent outright victories over the Chiefs, Dallas, and Miami. Philadelphia is also undefeated against the spread during their current 4-0 run despite seeing their last three wins come by an average margin of just 5.3 points. The Eagles have also been dominant on home turf in regular season action, winning five straight while averaging just under 30 points per game, and 14 of 17 since Thanksgiving 2021. They are also undefeated SU and ATS over the past three years when pegged as home chalk by four or fewer points. It has been a rougher ride for the Bills, who have lost outright in four of seven games, and saw a six-game ATS win streak end with last week’s win over the Jets. The Bills have also lost four of five to the Eagles, and have not earned a win in Philadelphia since 1996.
Buffalo Bills
The Bills raised the hopes of their fans with a crushing win over the Jets last weekend, and after seeing their past three wins come against team well out of playoff contention, they now face the challenge of duplicating that effort against a formidable opponent. With just 21 points per game scored while losing their past three away from Highmark Stadium, the pressure will be on Josh Allen to provide the spark. The Bills pivot showed signs of regaining familiar form while tossing for three scores against New York, but accuracy remains a concern considering he has thrown eight picks over his past seven outings. Rusher James Cook is coming off one of his best performances of the season last week, and has topped 100 total yards in each of his past two outings while making one scoring catch. However, the Bills ground game still hinges on Allen, who leads the club with seven TD rushes.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles have demonstrated their ability to put up big point totals during their current 4-0 run, but it was a stingy defensive performance that prove to be the difference in last week’s visit to Kansas City. After spotting the Chiefs a 17-7 lead at the half, the Eagles slammed the door, allowing KC to penetrate the Philadelphia 35-yard line just once, while forcing a pair of turnovers. Jalen Hurts saw his streak of games with at least one TD pass snapped at 10, but ran for two scores to bring his total rushing touchdowns this season to nine. Injuries remain a concern, with D’Andre Swift, Julio Jones, and AJ Brown among the offensive personnel to miss time at practice.
