The Chiefs still own a comfortable two-game lead atop the AFC South standings, but have dropped two in a row and looked abysmal in last week’s stunning loss to the New York Giants. The Bills are facing their own turmoil after a bizarre quarterback switch backfired spectacularly in a 30-point loss to the L.A. Chargers.

Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Kansas City has been a solid option against the spread this season, though Sunday’s 9.5-point advantage on Sports Interaction might turn bettors away following last week’s 12-9 loss to the Giants as a 10-point fave. The Chiefs have been a solid bounce-back team, going 7-2 ATS in their previous nine games after failing to cover the previous contest. On the other side, the Bills have covered just once in their previous six games.

Sports Interaction bettors are on the Chiefs by more than a 2-to-1 margin as of Wednesday, while 86 percent like the under on the 45.5-point total. Buffalo’s trends all point to the over – the Bills have exceeded the total in five consecutive games, and are 8-2 O/U in their past 10 games against teams with winning records. The Chiefs have gone over in four of five games following a straight-up loss, but are just 19-40 O/U in their last 59 home contests.

Buffalo Bills

The Nathan Peterman experiment will go down as one of the worst decisions Bills coach Sean McDermott has made in his time at the helm. Peterman threw five first-half interceptions against the Chargers last weekend and was fittingly benched in favor of embattled starter Tyrod Taylor. The Bills have struggled on the road of late – covering just twice in their past seven games away from Buffalo – and need a better effort Sunday to keep their flickering playoff hopes alive.

Kansas City Chiefs

A Chiefs offense that was so prolific earlier in the season – averaging nearly 33 points over the first five games – has fallen on hard times. Rookie running back Kareem Hunt produced four 100-yard rushing performances over that span, but hasn’t had more than 87 yards in any of the six games since. This could be a get-right game for Hunt, however, with the Bills’ defence having been gashed on the ground in recent weeks.
