The 49ers have won back-to-back games to get back into the division race and are a perfect 3-0 away from Levi’s Stadium on the season – but Week 8 presents a serious challenge against a Seahawks team looking to rebound from last week’s loss to Arizona.

NFL Week 8 Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Seahawks -3 spread suggests that these teams would be close to even on a neutral field – but given a few different trends, the line might actually be a steal in favour of the home side. Seattle has won eight of the previous 10 meetings between the teams while going 6-4 ATS over that stretch, and the 49ers have just four covers in their last 18 trips to Seattle. That said, both teams are an identical 4-2 ATS in their previous six games.

Oddsmakers are expecting this game to be one of the highest-scoring of the week, with the total at 54. And while a whopping 86 percent of Sports Interaction respondents are leaning toward the Over, 49ers games have been largely defensive affairs this season, with only one game surpassing 45 points. Of course, the Seahawks have seen the opposite trend occur in 2020, with all six of their games so far in 2020 going over 52 points.

San Francisco 49ers

It could be next-man-up for the 49ers’ backfield after another player went down to injury last week. Jeff Wilson Jr. was placed on injured reserve after getting injured last week (but not before scoring three touchdowns); with Jerick McKinnon likely to see more rest and Tevin Coleman not yet ready to return, that leave JaMycal Hasty as the most likely option for the majority of running back touches against the Seahawks on Sunday.

Seattle Seahawks

The “Anytime Touchdown” prop could be a popular play in this game, and there are two candidates on the Seahawks’ side that will get plenty of consideration. Tyler Lockett found the end zone three times in that loss to the Cardinals and leads the NFL in receiving touchdowns since the start of the 2018 season with 25. And teammate DK Metcalf is coming off a subpar showing vs. Arizona but has 295 yards and four touchdowns in three home games in 2020.
