49ers vs. Cardinals Point Spread: NFL Week 4 Odds, Prediction
An NFC West tilt between two teams trying to get on track in a division that appears very much open for the taking. The 49ers hope to earn their first win in the Kyle Shanahan era while Arizona backers just want to see their team cover a spread this season.
San Francisco 49ers vs. Arizona Cardinals
Point Spread: Cardinals -7
Date: Sunday, Oct. 1, 4:05 PM ET

Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The Cardinals opened as -7 (-110) favourites on the Sports Interaction odds board. The Niners have been doing a lot of losing over the last few seasons but they’ve held their own against their divisional opponents. San Fran is 5-0 against the spread in its last five games against NFC West teams including last week against the Los Angeles Rams.
Arizona is reeling right now with just four wins in its last 13 games and just three ATS wins in its last 13 contests. The under is also 11-2 in the Cards’ last 13 home games.
Over 70 percent of Sports Interaction clients like the Cards to cover the 7-point spread against the Niners while the betting action is split 50/50 on the 44.5-point total.
Despite the 1-2 start to the campaign, the Cardinals are still the second favourite at +350 to win the NFC West behind only the Seattle Seahawks at -250 according to the Sports Interaction NFL futures board. The Niners are the biggest longshot in the division at +15,000.

Arizona Cardinals
Arizona head coach Bruce Arians says Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer is playing the best he has in two or three years. His numbers, however, are great when throwing to veteran receiver Larry Fitzgerald and so-so when tossing to any of his other targets.
Palmer completed 13 of his 15 pass attempts to Fitzgerald and just 16 of 33 to all other players Sunday against the Cowboys.
San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco finally got its offence moving last week against the Rams where the club put 39 points on the board before the final whistle. Quarterback Brian Hoyer tossed for over 300 yards despite constant pressure from the Rams’ pass rush.
The Niners will have to be on guard again this week as the Cards’ front seven made Dallas’ vaunted O-line look pretty mediocre last Sunday night.
