Kansas City may be back-to-back defending champions, but it's the Philadelphia Eagles who enter the Conference Championship Round as +180 favourites to win the Super Bowl.
We’re down to the final four in the NFL, with the Philadelphia Eagles (+180) sitting as the Super Bowl favourites, followed by Kansas City (+200), Buffalo (+260) and Washington (+850).

Philly favoured
For some fans it might be a surprise to see the Eagles favoured to win the Super Bowl over two-time defending champion Kansas City, so let’s go over it.
No disrespect to Washington, but Philadelphia clearly has an easier path through the Conference Championship Round than KC. Meanwhile, Chiefs vs. Bills is going to be an absolute war, so even if Kansas City pulls out a win, which isn’t a guarantee, they’ll physically take a beating. And don’t overlook Buffalo in the AFC Championship, the Bills already beat Kansas City once this year.
I’ll state the obvious: before you can win the Super Bowl, you have to get there. Based on the spreads, oddsmakers are telling you it’s almost a lock that Philly will punch their ticket, while it’s close to 50/50 for Bills vs. Chiefs.
Odds movement
This is the first time the Eagles have been favoured to win the Super Bowl since the playoffs began. Entering last week’s Divisional Round, Detroit was first on the NFL futures board at +280 to win the Super Bowl, followed by Kansas City at +350, while Philadelphia sat at +400.
That big jump for the Eagles comes after they dismantled the L.A. Rams. Saquon Barkley went off for a ridiculous 205 rushing yards and two TDs, while the defence sacked Matthew Stafford five times and forced two fumbles.
In the Divisional Round, Philadelphia proved they should be the Super Bowl favourites. They have the most balanced team on both sides of the ball and Barkley, in particular, has been on an absolute tear all year.
Why you should back the Eagles
Philadelphia has cruised through the postseason and they’re doing it without Jalen Hurts playing at his best. If Hurts gets healthier and becomes a little more productive, backing the Eagles is a no-brainer.
Barkley has also been a machine. In addition to his performance against the Rams, Barkley put up 119 rushing yards against the Packers in the wild-card round and he’s averaging 6.14 yards per carry in the playoffs. Those numbers are even scarier when you remember he would have racked up even more yards against Green Bay if he didn’t slide.
It’s not just the offence, however, as Philadelphia’s defence has also been elite. The Eagles’ pass-rush and skilled secondary is better than anything the Bills, Chiefs or Commanders can match, and they’re coming off a regular season in which they allowed the second-fewest points per game (17.8) in the NFL.
I said it earlier, but I’ll say it again: this team just has an easier path. Obviously you have to be an elite team to win, but playoff success in any sport often comes down to a favourable path and a little luck. Philadelphia is facing a banged up Commanders team they know very well in the NFC Championship and whichever team comes out of the AFC Championship will have just gone through a war.
This looks like the Eagles’ year.
