The New England Patriots have taken a big tumble in the wake of consecutive dirty beatings, joining the Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, and Washington Commanders on the list of teams who have lost ground on the rankings.

NFL Betting Power Rankings for Week 6

1. San Francisco 49ers

SU: 5-0

ATS: 4-1

Super Bowl Odds: +375

Last week’s ranking: 1

The 49ers took all the fun out of what was supposed to be a classic battle with the Dallas Cowboys, as they rolled to an easy 42-10 win to remain undefeated and the unassailable leader atop this week’s rankings.

2. Detroit Lions

SU: 4-1

ATS: 4-1

Super Bowl Odds: +1400

Last week’s ranking: 2

The Lions continued their upward trajectory with a third straight lopsided victory. With last weekend’s 42-24 rout of Carolina, Detroit has now claimed victory by an average margin of over 15 points during its 3-0 run.

3. Miami Dolphins

SU: 4-1

ATS: 4-1

Super Bowl Odds: +900

Last week’s ranking: 5

The Dolphins easily rebounded from the thrashing they received in Buffalo two weeks ago. Miami has feasted on weaker opponents so far this season, and enjoy a visit from the woeful Carolina Panthers in Week 6.

4. Seattle Seahawks

SU: 3-1

ATS: 3-1

Super Bowl Odds: +4000

Last week’s ranking: 7

The Seahawks enjoyed a timely bye in Week 5, which should enable them to recover from some early-season injury woes. Seattle has averaged 32.7 points per game during their 3-0 run, and enjoy a favourable schedule that features upcoming dates with Cincinnati, Arizona, and Cleveland.

5. Philadelphia Eagles

SU: 5-0

ATS: 3-1-1

Super Bowl Odds: +700

Last week’s ranking: 6

The Eagles needed a second-half rally for a second straight week in last week’s 23-14 win over the Los Angeles Rams. One of just two remaining undefeated teams, the Eagles have yet to cover at home this season, and are 2-4 ATS in their past six home dates.

6. Kansas City Chiefs

SU: 4-1

ATS: 3-2

Super Bowl Odds: +550

Last week’s ranking: 4

The Chiefs made it four in a row with last weekend’s 27-20 win in Minnesota, but points have not come easy for the defending Super Bowl champions, who led the NFL in points scored a year ago.

7. Buffalo Bills

SU: 3-2

ATS: 3-2

Super Bowl Odds: +850

Last week’s ranking: 3

The Bills frustrated fans by laying an egg in London last weekend. The team’s sloppy performance in a 25-20 loss to Jacksonville halts a three-game surge in which they scored an average of 41 points per game. Which version of the Bills will show up in Week 6?

8. Dallas Cowboys

SU: 3-2

ATS: 3-2

Super Bowl Odds: +1400

Last week’s ranking: 8

The Cowboys have been dominant on home turf, where they have won 10 straight while going 8-2 ATS. It’s a different story on the road, where they have emerged as a massive betting disappointment. The Cowboys were exposed in last weekend’s brutal 42-14 loss in San Francisco to drop to 4-7 SU and ATS in their past 11, and play three of their next five on the road.

9. Jacksonville Jaguars

SU: 3-2

ATS: 3-2

Super Bowl Odds: +2500

Last week’s ranking: 19

The Jaguars swept their two-game stint in London, capped by last week’s upset win over the depleted Bills, but have been their own worst enemies in two straight SU and ATS losses on home turf. But a Week 6 visit by the Colts, whom they have beaten decisively in seven straight home dates, could be a tonic.

10. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

SU: 3-1

ATS: 3-1

Super Bowl Odds: +8000

Last week’s ranking: 11

The Buccaneers return from a timely bye in Week 5 that has given them a chance to recover from an array of injuries. However, Baker Mayfield’s recent heroic performance and a stingy Bucs defence will be put to the test in upcoming October dates with Detroit and Buffalo.

11. Los Angeles Rams

SU: 2-3

ATS: 3-1-1

Super Bowl Odds: +10000

Last week’s ranking: 12

One of the big surprises of the early season at the sportsbook, the Rams pushed the Eagles to the brink in last week’s 23-14, but have seen their three losses to date come by an average margin of just 6.3 points. Could a breakthrough be in the cards in upcoming sates with Arizona and Pittsburgh?

12. Indianapolis Colts

SU: 3-2

ATS: 3-2

Super Bowl Odds: +12500

Last week’s ranking: 16

With Gardner Minshew making Colts fans forget about injured rookie Anthony Richardson, and Zack Moss upstaging the recently resigned Jonathan Taylor, the Colts have won three of four including a pair of outright wins as betting underdogs.

13. Houston Texans

SU: 2-3

ATS: 3-2

Super Bowl Odds: +0000

Last week’s ranking: 14

CJ Stroud has emerged as a tonic for what has ailed Texans betting fans in recent season. With the top rookie making a seamless transition to the NFL, and the Houston defence standing tall, the Texans been perfect against the spread during a 2-1 run.

14. Cincinnati Bengals

SU: 2-3

ATS: 1-3-1

Super Bowl Odds: +2000

Last week’s ranking: 26

Hobbled by injuries to Joe Burrow and Tee Higgins, the Bengals will be ready for a bye after this weekend’s date with Seattle. Indeed, rest and recovery will be high priorities consider the Bengals can look forward to dates with San Francisco and Buffalo following their week off.

15. Los Angeles Chargers

SU: 2-2

ATS: 2-2

Super Bowl Odds: +3000

Last week’s ranking: 17

A Week 5 bye came just in time for a Chargers squad dealing with injuries to stars Justin Herbert, Austin Ekeler, and Joey Bosa. Since suffering a pair of heartbreaking losses by a combined margin of just five points, the Chargers have trended in the right direction with consecutive wins, but their health status remains a concern ahead of dates with Dallas and Kansas City.

16. Baltimore Ravens

SU: 3-2

ATS: 3-2

Super Bowl Odds: +1600

Last week’s ranking: 9

It is quickly becoming apparent that the Ravens are a one-dimensional team. And as the Pittsburgh Steelers proved last week, if you can contain Lamar Jackson, Baltimore is a very beatable opponent.

17. Las Vegas Raiders

SU: 2-3

ATS: 2-3

Super Bowl Odds: +15000

Last week’s ranking: 23

Even with Jimmy Garoppolo under centre, the Raiders have struggled to generate consistent offence. Apart from their recent lopsided loss in Buffalo, their saving grace has been an efficient defence that has held opposing passers to 175 or fewer yards in three of five outings.

18. Tennessee Titans

SU: 2-3

ATS: 3-2

Super Bowl Odds: +8000

Last week’s ranking: 13

The Titans’ lack of scoring punch caught up with them in last week’s 23-16 loss in Indianapolis as road favourites. Ryan Tannehill has completed just one scoring pass in three games, and just two on the season against three picks. The Titans have also scored just 12.3 points per game during a six-game SU losing streak, a worrisome trend considering four of the next five games will be played away from Nissan Stadium.

19. Pittsburgh Steelers

SU: 3-2

ATS: 3-2

Super Bowl Odds: +8000

Last week’s ranking: 25

A relentless Steelers defence has been the key to the Steelers’ somewhat surprising 3-1 run. The defence was the star in last weekend’s 17-10 upset win over Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. Of course, Kenny Pickett deserves credit for his 41-yard game-winning pass to George Pickens, but considering that three of Pickett’s four scoring passes this season come on bombs of more than 40 yards, one must wonder when the luck will run out on the Pittsburgh starter.

20. New York Jets

SU: 2-3

ATS: 3-2

Super Bowl Odds: +10000

Last week’s ranking: 21

Yes, the Jets scored 31 points in last week’s win over Denver. However, loyal fans should not get too excited, considering the offence produced just one touchdown in the contest. Indeed, Zach Wilson has found the end zone in just one of his past three games, and the Jets ground game has produced just two scoring runs. How long can the defence and field goal kicker Greg Zuerlein make up for that lack of production?

21. Green Bay Packers

SU: 2-3

ATS: 3-2

Super Bowl Odds: +6600

Last week’s ranking: 10

The Packers have quickly faded after enjoying a solid 2-1 start. With Monday night’s 17-13 loss in Las Vegas, the Packers have now scored just 17 points per game over their past three outings, and just six total points before the half over that stretch.

22. New Orleans Saints

SU: 3-2

ATS: 1-3-1

Super Bowl Odds: +5000

Last week’s ranking: 29

The Saints roused from their early-season slumber in last week’s visit to New England, producing their biggest offensive performance in 15 games. But even with last weekend’s 34-0 win, this team still ranks 29th in scoring. And even with in the wake of impressive performances by the pass defence, they face a massive challenge to keep pace offensively in upcoming dates with Jacksonville and Houston.

23. Arizona Cardinals

SU: 1-4

ATS: 3-2

Super Bowl Odds: +50000

Last week’s ranking: 15

After covering in three straight to start the season including a stunning upset win over Dallas, the Cardinals have steadily reverted to the form that has made them longshots on the Super Bowl odds while getting blown out in back-to-back contests.

24. Cleveland Browns

SU: 2-2

ATS: 2-2

Super Bowl Odds: +3500

Last week’s ranking: 18

Will the Browns’ bye in Week 5 provide quarterback Deshaun Watson with enough time to recover from a throwing shoulder injury that sidelined him for the team’s embarrassing 28-3 loss to Baltimore two weeks ago? With the Browns already missing Nick Chubb, and a date with undefeated San Francisco awaiting the, they simply cannot afford to be without their controversial pivot for much longer.

25. Atlanta Falcons

SU: 3-2

ATS: 1-4

Super Bowl Odds: +8000

Last week’s ranking: 27

Desmond Ridder deserves credit for his excellent game management while leading the Falcons to last weekend’s slim 21-19 win over Houston. However, much more is needed from a Falcons attack that has scored just 11.3 points per game over their past three outings, failed to cover in four straight, and averaged just 12.5 points per game while losing eight straight on the road.

26. Minnesota Vikings

SU: 1-4

ATS: 1-3-1

Super Bowl Odds: +10000

Last week’s ranking: 22

Last season, the Vikings couldn’t lose in close games. This season, they can’t win. The Vikings have covered just once while seeing their four defeats come by an average margin of just five points. The team’s three-game SU and ATS swoon as road underdogs is a concern going into a six-week stretch that feature four away games.

27. Washington Commanders

SU: 2-3

ATS: 2-3

Super Bowl Odds: +20000

Last week’s ranking: 20

The Commanders have surrendered over 36 points per game during a three-game slide, highlighted by a convincing 40-20 defeat under the lights at the hands of the previously freefalling Chicago Bears. Sam Howell has struggled under centre, throwing for just three scores against five picks while getting sacked 19 times during the current slide. The only redeeming quality found in an upcoming schedule that features five road games over the next seven weeks is two dates with the floundering New York Giants.

28. Denver Broncos

SU: 1-4

ATS: 0-4-1

Super Bowl Odds: +50000

Last week’s ranking: 28

Russell Wilson is finally fulfilling promise in Denver, compiling 11 touchdown passes in five games. But the Broncos have simply been incapable of shutting down opposing offences while surrendering 41 points per game over their past four outings, and an NFL-worst 450.6 yards per game this season.

29. Chicago Bears

SU: 1-4

ATS: 1-3-1

Super Bowl Odds: +75000

Last week’s ranking: 32

After enduring a humiliating meltdown in a 31-28 loss in Denver, the Bears finally snapped a 13-game slide with a convincing 40-20 win over Washington last week. Justin Fields has found a higher gear while tossing for eight scores over the past two weeks, but is still operating without a topflight offensive line, and with a backfield corps decimated by injury. Sunday’s date with the Vikings provides a good test, but enthusiasm should remain tempered.

30. New England Patriots

SU: 1-4

ATS: 1-4

Super Bowl Odds: +20000

Last week’s ranking: 24

Bill Belichick and the Patriots are discovering what life is like at the other end of the standings after getting out classed by a combined 72-3 margin ion consecutive losses. The New England offence now ranks dead last in the NFL while scoring just 11 points per game, the receiving corps is dealing with a rash of injuries, and Ezekiel Elliott has failed to spark a Pats ground game that has produced just one scoring run this season.

31. Carolina Panthers

SU: 0-5

ATS: 0-4-1

Super Bowl Odds: +75000

Last week’s ranking: 30

Winless straight up and against the spread, the Panthers are not making things easy for top draft pick Bryce Young, whose breakthrough three-touchdown performance was nowhere nearly enough in a 42-24 loss to Detroit. Overall, Carolina has allowed 34.3 points per game this season while going 0-3 on the road, and things are unlikely to improve in Miami this weekend.

32. New York Giants

SU: 1-4

ATS: 0-5

Super Bowl Odds: +50000

Last week’s ranking: 31

ATS losers in six straight, the Giants have averaged just 10.3 points per game over their past three outings. Now faced with injuries to both Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley, in addition to injuries on both the offensive line and defence, things could get very ugly when they visit Buffalo on Sunday Night Football.
