Toronto opened as a 5-point favourite on the NBA odds with a total of 228.5.

NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Washington guard Bradley Beal leads the NBA in scoring at 31.3 points per game and looks to become the first player from that franchise to ever win a scoring title – that’s a surprising statistic. The Wiz can beat anyone when Beal and Mr. Triple-Double Russell Westbrook are cooking, but they don’t have much else. Beal hasn’t played since March 27 due to a bruised right hip and is listed as questionable, but that’s actually an early upgrade from what he has been listed as.

This will wrap up the season series. On Feb. 10 in Washington, D.C., the Raptors were 5.5-point favourites and rolled to a 137-115 victory – that remains a season high in points for Toronto, and defence is definitely not a strength for the Wizards. The Dinos were 19-for-32 from deep (59.4 per cent).

“They were 19-for-32 — that’s tough to do in an open gym,” said Wizards coach Scott Brooks.

Former Raptor Norman Powell had 28 points, Pascal Siakam 26 and Kyle Lowry 21. Chris Boucher had 17 points and 16 rebounds off the bench. Washington, meanwhile, was 12-for-41 from long range. Beal had 24 points and Westbrook 23, but they were a combined minus-42 and no other Wizards player scored more than 13 points. Former Raptor Alex Len had 11.

Toronto has won eight straight games against the Wizards, including five in a row at home. Washington is 2-6 ATS in the past eight as the road team in the series. The total has gone over in the previous seven.

Washington Wizards

Washington is 1-3 since Beal went out, losing its third in a row Saturday, 109-87 at home to Dallas. Russell Westbrook had 26 points, 14 rebounds and five assists – it was his 35th double-double of the season. Westbrook has become only the third player in NBA history to average at least 15 rebounds and 10 assists over a six-game stretch, joining Wilt Chamberlain and Oscar Robertson. Davis Bertans returned from injury Saturday and had 11 points. Rui Hachimura, a 2019 lottery pick out of Gonzaga, was out with a right shoulder injury and is questionable Monday. He averages 14.2 points and 5.8 rebounds. Washington is 1-4 ATS in its past five on the road.

Toronto Raptors

The Raptors snapped a four-game slide Friday with a 130-77 destruction of the visiting Warriors, catching a major break in that Golden State’s Steph Curry and Draymond Green were both out. It was the largest margin of victory in Toronto history and the largest in the NBA this season. The last time Toronto held an opponent to 77 points or fewer was April 6, 2018 when Indiana scored 73 points. Pascal Siakam had 36 points in three quarters, and Gary Trent Jr. had 24 points and finished with a franchise-record plus/minus rating of plus-54. That was the best such mark in the NBA since November 2017. Kyle Lowry missed his second straight game due to a right foot infection and will not play here. Fred VanVleet left in the third quarter with a strained hip flexor and is questionable. The Raptors are 1-6 in their past seven as favourites.
