At 28-26 the Warriors hold the eight spot in the West, but are just two games up on the 26-28 Trail Blazers who sit a half game outside the playoff picture.
The Stephen Curry-less Warriors are riding a two-game win streak, most recently putting up 141 points in a 27-point drubbing of Oklahoma City. Portland started a five-game home stand on Monday but fell 127-108 to Milwaukee.
Tip-off at Moda Center at the Rose Quarter gets started at 10 p.m. EST, with Portland a 2.5-point favourite and the total at 231.5 on the NBA odds.

Golden State’s 141-point night, also without the injured Curry, was their highest point total since Jan. 13. The Warriors are the league’s second-highest scoring club with 118.4 points per game, and it’s played a huge role in the Over going 20-6-1 in Golden State’s 27 road games thus far.
Portland, 14-12 against the spread on home court this season, has struggled to cover as of late. The Trail Blazers have only covered in two of their last seven home appearances. Moreover, they’ve only handled the spread in six of their last 18 outings overall, not to mention dropping five straight against Pacific Division opponents.

With an injured Curry, the other Splash Brother stepped up in Monday’s blowout victory against Oklahoma City. Thompson scored 42 points in the win and notched a season-high twelve-three-pointers. Jordan Poole put up 21 points and career-high 12 assists while starting in Curry’s point guard spot.
Curry is Golden State’s scoring leader, averaging of points 29.4 per game, meaning the likes of Thompson and Poole need to continue producing while Curry remains out for a few weeks. Both Thompson and Poole average over 20 points a night, in addition to averaging just under five threes a game combined, which is what Curry puts up himself. But if Monday’s any indicator, the Warriors can still put up points without their MVP guard in the lineup.
Portland Trail Blazers
Portland’s roll on offence came to a halt on Monday night, as they scored 108 points in a losing effort but finished under 41 per cent from the field and nine for 25 from three. Damian Lillard finished with a game-high 28 points, which was his lowest point total in his last eight outings. Lillard is averaging 34.8 points per night in February while hitting nearly four threes a game.
With 114.5 points per game the Trail Blazers remain a middle of the pack scoring club. Anfernee Simons and Jerami Grant are both averaging over 20 a night, but the duo went a combined two for 12 from the arc in Monday’s loss. If either isn’t going, Portland is in tough on offence.
