Golden State Warriors vs. Phoenix Suns Prediction, NBA Odds

The Phoenix Suns just blew a double-digit fourth-quarter lead, while the Golden State Warriors just overcame one. So, it makes sense that the two teams now face each other with the Western Conference’s final playoff spot on the line. The Suns host the Warriors in Phoenix Friday at 10 p.m. ET, in a win-or-go-home scenario to reach the first round of the NBA playoffs.

Phoenix led by as many as 11 points before succumbing to visiting Portland on Tuesday, 114-110. Jalen Green led the Suns with 35 points. Steph Curry scored 27 of his 35 points in the second half, and Al Horford made four 3-pointers in the fourth quarter as the Warriors came back from 13 down with less than 10 minutes to play.

The winner advances as the No. 8 seed to play the top-seed and defending NBA champion, Oklahoma City. The loser goes home. It doesn’t get any simpler than that.

Warriors vs. Suns NBA Betting Odds

The Warriors, who won the season series with the Suns, are slight three-point road underdogs on the NBA odds. They sit at +130 on the moneyline, while home favourite Phoenix is listed at -155.

The over/under is set at 220 points. These teams played to the under in three of their four meetings this season. They averaged 213.8 total points in those four contests.

Golden State Warriors

The only Golden State player listed as questionable is Kristaps Porzingis with right ankle soreness. And let’s be honest, Porzingis is almost always questionable.

However, he did have 20 points, five rebounds and five assists in the win over the Clippers. He played only 15 games with Golden State, but another performance like Wednesday’s would be a huge bonus for the Warriors.

Golden State just bested a Clippers team that had owned them in Los Angeles, winning nine straight times. With a healthy Curry and Draymond Green (nine assists against L.A.), the Warriors certainly won’t be impacted by the moment.

They won the season series, 3-1, splitting the two games in Phoenix. The Suns won the first meeting by one point, then Golden State took the second by four points.

Phoenix Suns

Grayson Allen, Phoenix’s fourth-leading scorer at 16.5 points per game, is nursing a hamstring issue and is questionable for Friday. He did not play against Portland. Also questionable is Mark Williams, with left-foot soreness. He had four points and four rebounds in 22 minutes against the Blazers.

Green was electric on Tuesday. He averaged 17.8 points during the regular season, but averaged 21.8 points over 16 games in March. If you take out the Dallas game, in which he left after four minutes with a right knee injury last week, he is averaging 25 points in four April contests.

His continued emergence pairs well with veterans and leading scorers Devin Booker (22 points against Portland) and Dillon Brooks (20 points, seven rebounds).

NBA Prediction: Who Will Win Warriors vs. Suns?

It didn’t work at home for Phoenix on Tuesday? Will tonight be different? Including the loss to the Blazers, the Suns are now 8-9 in their last 17 home contests. It certainly has not been a fortress for them.

After overcoming one obstacle against the Clippers, Golden State has the momentum to pull off the mild upset. Look for them to advance with a 115-112 victory.
