The Golden State Warriors just hammered the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday, giving them their 13th win in their last 14 games. They are roaring with efficiency and purpose at this stage of the NBA season and will try to remain on course heading toward the All-Star break when they visit the lowly Phoenix Suns. They’ll win this game but the only question is by how much?

NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Warriors are 38-15 overall and 18-8 on the road. However, they are only 13-13 against the spread (ATS) on the road. They have covered five of their last six away games, though, and are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 road games against an opponent with a home winning percentage under .400.

The Suns are 11-45 overall and 7-21 at home. They’ve been an awful bet of late, losing 10 straight and covering just three times in those contests. The Suns are 1-5 ATS in their last six home games versus opponents with a road winning percentage greater than .600 and also 1-5 ATS in their last six home games versus an opponent with a winning road record.

Golden State Warriors

The Warriors just crushed the San Antonio Spurs, 141-102 and are 13-1 in their last 14 games. To give you an idea of how well things are going, they have won their 13 games by 245 total points, which is an average of just under 19 points per game. The team is clicking and they are smoking the opposition.

Kevin Durant is shooting above 50 percent on all field goal attempts (50.7 percent) while Steph Curry is averaging 28.9 points per game. DeMarcus Cousins has fit right in, averaging 14.5 points per game along with 7.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists and one blocks per contest. There aren’t any glaring weaknesses. Golden State blew out Phoenix 132-109 on New Year’s Eve. There’s little reason to expect anything different on Friday.

Phoenix Suns

The Suns are basically the opposite of the Warriors. As a matter of fact, they literally are in the standings as Golden State is first in the Western Conference while the Suns are last. Golden State is 13-1 in its last 14 while Phoenix is 1-13 in that span. They have lost 12 straight games coming into this contest while allowing at least 116 points per game in all but one of those 13 recent losses. In that lone outlier, they allowed 111.

This is an atrocious defensive team at the moment and compounding their problems is the status of star guard Devin Booker, who is uncertain for this game with hamstring injury. He’ll probably get a rest with the All-Star break right around the corner.
