The Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs will engage in a regular season-ending home-and-home series. The Warriors are gripping the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference by a thread. They remain just one game ahead of the fourth-seeded Dallas Mavericks in the standings. They will need a win to get some separation and lock themselves in.

As for the San Antonio Spurs, they have positioned themselves in the play-in tournament after pushing the Los Angeles Lakers to the side. If they win out and the New Orleans Pelicans lose their last two games, the Spurs move into the ninth seed.

With playoff positioning on the line, which of these two teams will come away with the win?

Warriors vs. Spurs NBA Betting Odds

The Warriors are on a bit of a roll as they’ve covered four in a row and seven of nine. However, they have covered just four times in their last 14 games against teams with a losing record.

The Spurs have also been reliable against the spread of late too. They have covered five straight games and four straight against teams with a winning record. However, the under is 8-3 in their last 11 home games.

Golden State Warriors

The Warriors enter this game with a focus of generating some type of momentum for the postseason. Golden State’s head coach Steve Kerr said, “Whatever happens with the seeding happens, and we’ll just play whoever we will play.”

This team has won their last three games but both Klay Thompson and Steph Curry aren’t expected to hit the floor. That’s going to severely hamper their chances of winning here. Expect a lot of attention to go towards the young Jordan Poole. Poole dropped 19 points in their most recent win but had Thompson on his side to avoid the majority of the defensive pressure.

Golden State has won two of three meetings this season but their two wins were by a combined seven points. The good news is that they won once without Curry and once without Thompson. The question is can they beat the Spurs with both out?

San Antonio Spurs

Even though the Spurs have the possibility of moving up into the ninth seed, it doesn’t change their opponent in the play-in tournament. All it can do is change the location of that game. In theory, that should factor in San Antonio’s favour, but the Spurs are 16-24 at home and 18-22 on the road, so it’s not a huge home-court advantage.

The Spurs are looking to build momentum and prepare for the postseason and they appear to have that right now. They’ve won seven of their last nine. While they’re fresh off a loss, they were able to come back from down 12 points in the final two minutes against Minnesota, though they were still just shy of coming away with the win.

As Dejounte Murray continues to miss time, San Antonio is going to search elsewhere for offensive and defensive talent to insert into the rotation. He scores 21.2 on the season, so missing him is big for this squad.
