The Golden State Warriors will need to regroup quickly when they head to Chicago on Friday following a 118-99 blowout loss in Milwaukee the night before.  The Bulls are also looking to get back on track after being routed 138-112 against Brooklyn on Wednesday.

Chicago is a 4-point favourite to win on the NBA odds, with a total of 223.0.

Warriors vs. Bulls NBA Betting Odds

It’s been all Golden State in this head-to-head series as the Warriors have won nine straight games against Chicago.  The Bulls haven’t won in this series since March 2, 2017, during Dwayne Wade’s lone season in Chicago.

Golden State is still holding on to second place in the Western Conference, but they’re in danger of falling off after dropping four of their last five games.  They’re 23-16-2 against the spread for the season, but they’re just 1-5 ATS over their last seven contests.  The total has gone Under in four of the Warriors’ last five games.

Outside of the loss to Brooklyn, the Bulls have been dominant lately.  They’re 10-2 straight up over their last 12 games and 9-1 SU over their last 10 at home.  Chicago is 23-16 ATS this season, but they’ve failed to cover in five of their last seven games.  The total has gone Under in four of the Bulls’ last five games against G-State.

Golden State Warriors

The Warriors’ loss to Milwaukee on Thursday was one of those nights that went so bad, teams don’t even try to watch the game tape.  Golden State never held the lead in the game and trailed 77-38 by the half.  Canadian Andrew Wiggins finished with a team-high 16 points, followed by Jonathan Kuminga with 15.  Steph Curry, who averages a team-high 26.4 points per game, had an off-night, finishing with 12 points and eight rebounds.

In his third game back in the lineup, Klay Thompson added 11 points with limited playing time on Thursday.  Thompson is expected to be rested against Chicago as he works his way back from ACL and Achilles injuries that have sidelined him for the last two years.  Draymond Green has missed multiple games with left calf stiffness and he will likely be a game-time decision on Friday.  Green is averaging 7.9 ppg and leads the team in rebounds (7.6), assists (7.4) and blocks (1.2).

Chicago Bulls

Chicago suffered the unlucky fate of being the first team to face Brooklyn this season with Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving all in the lineup.  The Nets’ Big Three torched the Bulls for a combined 61 points.  The loss snapped a nine-game home winning streak for Chicago.  Zach LaVine led the Bulls with 22 points and six assists.  Former Toronto Raptor DeMar DeRozan added 19 points.  DeRozan (26.0 ppg) and LaVine (25.6 ppg) have carried Chicago to the top of the Eastern Conference standings, with a two-game lead over Miami.

Derrick Jones Jr. is expected to be out of the lineup for two to four weeks after hyperextending his knee less than a minute into the game against Brooklyn.  Jones Jr. joins Alex Caruso (COVID protocols), Javonte Green (groin) and Tyler Cook (ankle) on the injury report.  All four players are expected to miss Friday’s game.
