Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Orlando Magic Prediction, NBA Odds
Orlando (38-29) had won seven games in a row before losing at Atlanta 124-112 on Monday. Now the Magic face an extremely tough test on the second leg of a back-to-back situation against the best team in the NBA. Oklahoma City (53-15) is on an eight-game winning streak. This marks the second of two regular-season showdowns between these two teams. They previously squared off in Oklahoma City on February 3, when the Thunder rolled 128-92.
Thunder vs. Magic NBA Betting Odds
The Thunder were 11.5-point favourites when they hosted the Magic more than a month ago and won that game by 36 points. Considering that result and the fact Orlando is playing on a back-to-back and dealing with injury issues, it is a bit surprising that Oklahoma City is not giving more than 9.5 points, even on the road.
OKC is a horrendous 1-7 against the spread in its last eight contests, but it is 4-0-1 ATS in the last five head-to-head matchups. Orlando is 4-2 ATS in its last six overall. As for the over/under, the under is 6-1 in the Thunder’s last seven games and 3-1 in the last four meetings between these two teams. However, the over has cashed in each of the Magic’s last five games.
Oklahoma City Thunder
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continues to be in the form that earned him both NBA MVP and NBA Finals MVP honours in 2025. The Kentucky product has scored exactly 35 points in two of the last three games and has recorded at least nine assists in three straight. Gilgeous-Alexander is 7-for-16 from three-point range over the past three contests.
SGA has to shoulder a lot of the load because Jalen Williams (17.5 points per game) continues to be sidelined by a hamstring injury. Williams has not played since February 11. Fortunately for the Thunder, Isaiah Hartenstein and Ajay Mitchell recently returned from their respective absences.
Orlando Magic
The Magic are rolling offensively. Prior to Monday’s loss, they had scored at least 121 points in four of their last five games – and even against Atlanta they still put up a respectable 112. Four different guys have led the team in scoring over the past seven games, so head coach Jamahl Mosley is getting contributions from all over the floor. Former No. 1 overall pick Paolo Banchero has scored at least 25 points in four of the last six games.
News on the injury front is rough for the Magic right now. Franz Wagner (21.3 ppg) has missed the last 14 games due to an ankle problem and there is no timetable for his return. Anthony Black (15.3 ppg) is doubtful for Tuesday with an abdominal issue.
NBA Prediction: Who Will Win Thunder vs. Magic?
This is a rough back-to-back for the Magic. They faced an Atlanta squad that has won 10 in a row and now they run into an Oklahoma City juggernaut that has won eight straight. Navigating this stretch without Wagner and Black makes it especially difficult. Expect a relatively high-scoring affair on Tuesday night in Orlando, with the visitors comfortably coming out on top. Let’s go with the Thunder to prevail 120-105.
