Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Los Angeles Lakers Game 4 Prediction, NBA Odds

The Oklahoma City Thunder continued their mastery of both the postseason and the Lakers with a 131-108 victory in Game 3 of their Western Conference semifinal in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Ajay Mitchell had a postseason career-high 24 points and 10 assists with zero turnovers. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 23 points and nine rebounds, Chet Holmgren had 18 points and nine rebounds, and Isaiah Hartenstein added 12 points and nine rebounds as OKC outscored the Lakers in the second half on Saturday, 74-49.

Rui Hachimura had 21 points to lead Los Angeles, which was playing its 15th straight game without NBA scoring champion Luke Doncic.

Thunder vs. Lakers NBA Betting Odds

The Thunder are heavy 10.5-point favourites to close out the series this evening. They are -525 on the moneyline, while Los Angeles is +390.

Oklahoma City is now 7-0 straight up and against the spread versus the Lakers this season. The Thunder are 12-2 in their last 14 road games.

The over/under sits at 214. OKC has played to the over in 5 of its last 6 contests,

Oklahoma City Thunder

Third-leading scorer Jalen Williams has missed five straight games with a hamstring injury. Reigning league MVP Gilgeous-Alexander has been held to 21 points per game this series after averaging 33.8 points in a four-game sweep of the Suns in the first round.

It doesn’t matter. The Thunder are lighting up the shorthanded Lakers, winning three games by a combined 59 points.

Mitchell is emerging as yet another dangerous option for the Thunder. After averaging 13.6 points in the regular season, he has scored 14 or more points in each of the last six games in the playoffs and is averaging 17.4 points per game this postseason.

The team shot 56% (53-for-94) from the field and 45% (17-for-38). If they are hitting like that, good luck.

Los Angeles Lakers

Without Doncic, the Lakers just don’t have that one guy who can threaten for 40 points to keep OKC’s defence honest and open up opportunities for everyone else.

LeBron James had 19 points, eight assists, and six rebounds. Austin Reaves added 17 points and 9 assists, and Luke Kennard had 18 points off the bench.

The Lakers shot 47% (14-for-30) from 3-point land. They made eight more free throws than the Thunder attempted. And the game was still a blowout.

Los Angeles is now 1-5 against the spread in its last six games. Without Doncic, that has a good chance of becoming 1-6.

NBA Prediction: Who Will Win Thunder vs. Lakers?

This series is done. Maybe the Lakers sneak a win at home tonight, but most likely, the Thunder sweep this series and then sit for a few days as the Timberwolves and Spurs sort out their semifinal.

Look for tonight to be SGA’s shining moment in the series. The 23 points he had on Saturday were his most in this series, but still short of the 25 that represented the least he had in the series with the Suns.

The reigning MVP puts on a show for the reigning champs tonight, scoring 30 or more points as Oklahoma City advances with a 128-110 victory.
