Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Boston Celtics Prediction, NBA Odds

Is this an NBA Finals preview? The two most recent NBA champions square off Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. ET from TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The Oklahoma City Thunder (57-15, first in West) take a 12-game win streak into this epic duel with the Boston Celtics (47-24, second in East).

These teams just met in Oklahoma City on March 12, with the Thunder escaping with a 104-102 victory – their tightest win on this win streak. It’s no surprise that as soon as 2025 NBA MVP and 2026 MVP leading candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander returned from injury, the Thunder went on this streak. Meanwhile, Jayson Tatum made his season debut for the Celtics on March 6, but missed the first meeting with OKC. The Celtics are 6-2 in the games he has played.

OKC is a 2.5-point favourite to win on the NBA odds, with the total set at 217.5.

Thunder vs. Celtics NBA Betting Odds

The Celtics are 40-31 against the spread and 25-46 on Over / Unders this year. Since Tatum came back, they are 3-5 ATS and 3-5 O/U. The Thunder are just 34-38 ATS and 37-35 O/U.

Despite the 12-game win streak, they are just 3-9 ATS in this stretch and 3-9 O/U, signifying that their defence has been exceptional.

Oklahoma City Thunder

SGA carried in the Thunder’s home win over the Celtics on March 12, pouring in 35 points on 13-of-18 shooting. Only Chet Holmgren and Ajay Mitchell joined SGA in double figures, with 14 points each. The Celtics out-rebounded the Thunder, shot it better from three, and converted more free throw attempts, but the Thunder won the paint battle, and SGA defeated Jaylen Brown in the efficiency battle, scoring one more point on seven fewer shot attempts.

The Thunder were missing Jalen Williams and Isaiah Hartenstein, while the Celtics were missing Tatum and Derrick White. Williams just played his first game since February 11 in the Thunder’s Monday night win over the Philadelphia 76ers. Williams didn’t skip a beat, going for 18 points, six assists, and four rebounds, while going 8-of-14 from the field.

Boston Celtics

The Celtics will continue to be without trade deadline acquisition Nikola Vucevic. Vuc hasn’t played since March 6, as he underwent surgery to stabilize a fracture in his right ring finger. Otherwise, the Celtics are fully healthy for this meeting.

The Celtics just had a four-game win streak snapped on Sunday in a 102-92 loss to the Timberwolves at home. Tatum, Brown, and White combined for 60 points but were just a combined 21-of-57 from the field. The Celtics will have to lean on their three-point rate (third highest in the NBA) and look to convert at their average three-point shooting clip (36 per cent) or better to be able to knock the Thunder off their high horse tonight.

NBA Prediction: Who Will Win Thunder vs. Celtics?

The Thunder lead all teams in NBA championship odds at +135, while the Celtics sit tied for second at +600 with the Spurs. The Thunder eked this game out at home when both teams were down two key starters. It would only feel right if the Celtics get the job done at home this time around, with both teams closer to full health.

If anyone can knock the Thunder of this streak, it’s a Celtics team that bombs away from deep. The Thunder’s biggest weakness is that they are 22nd in three-point rate allowed and 25th in three-point percentage defence.
