Superstar Ja Morant (if he plays) and the Memphis Grizzlies are 3.5-point favourites on the NBA odds.

Raptors vs. Grizzlies NBA Betting Odds

Memphis is very good but perhaps not quite good enough to win the Western Conference right now. That could change if the Grizzlies are able to land Raptors forward OG Anunoby ahead of Thursday’s Trade Deadline, and they are very interested. Memphis owns all its first-round draft picks over the next handful of years. Anunoby remains out injured currently and may not return before the deadline.

This concludes the season series as the Grizzlies won in Toronto 119-106 on Dec. 29. Ja Morant had 19 points and a career-high 17 assists in his first-ever game in Toronto – Memphis had a season-high 37 assists. Mississauga native Dillon Brooks had 25 points and six assists, and Steven Adams 14 points and 17 rebounds, although he’s currently out injured. Anunoby had 16 points but was minus-29 in his 35 minutes. Pascal Siakam had 25 points and 10 rebounds. Fred VanVleet was out injured.

Toronto leads the all-time series 27-26 and is 12-13 as the road team but has won the past four away. The Raptors are 9-3 against the spread in the past 12 meetings.

Toronto Raptors

Toronto is 3-3 on its seven-game trip following a 117-111 win at Houston on Friday, the only bad team the Dinos have faced on this swing. Fred VanVleet led the club in scoring for a third straight game with 32 points, while Gary Trent Jr. had 29 and Pascal Siakam 23. It was VanVleet’s eighth 30-point game this season, already matching a single-season career high. Trent Jr. has scored at least 15 points in a career-high 11 consecutive games, averaging 21.1 points and shooting 48.6% from the field. Five reserves played Friday, but only Chris Boucher scored (11 points). That’s likely going to work against good teams like Memphis. The Raptors have won (or tied) the season series in nine straight years vs. the Grizzlies. Toronto is 1-4 ATS in its past five following a win.

Memphis Grizzlies

Memphis is in a major funk having seven of eight but has been off since a 128-113 defeat in Cleveland on Thursday. There was a minor scuffle in that one as Dillon Brooks hit Cleveland guard Donovan Mitchell in the groin, and Brooks has been suspended for this game. The Canadian averages 15.3 ppg. As noted above, centre Steven Adams is currently out injured. He’s one of the league’s top rebounders. All-Star point guard Ja Morant and stellar defensive big man Jaren Jackson Jr. are both listed questionable here. If they are out, this spread might get to a pick’em but also will rise a bit if both play. We think they play. Memphis is 2-7 ATS in its past nine.
