The Pistons closed out a four-game home stand with Sunday’s 104-102 loss to New York, and have fallen to defeat in eight of 10 overall contests. The Nets opened their current three-game home stand on Sunday with a 119-110 loss to Charlotte, but have tallied wins in seven of their past 10 outings.

The Nets have improved slightly to 14-point home favourites on the NBA odds since opening as 13.5-point chalk, and enjoy the support of a slim 54 per cent majority of sports bettors. The total has made substantial gains since opening at 229.5, rocketing to 234.0. However, 55 per cent of bets have been placed on the UNDER.

Pistons vs. Nets NBA Betting Odds

Tuesday night’s matchup at Barclays Center marks the fourth and final regular season meeting between these clubs. The Nets have claimed victory in each of their three previous dates with Detroit this season, including a crushing 117-91 win on home hardwood, back on October 31. Overall, the Nets enjoy a five-game straight up win streak versus Detroit, and have earned the win in nine of their past 11 overall clashes since October 2018.

The Pistons hold the edge at the sportsbooks in recent dates with Brooklyn, covering the spread in four of their past six overall. However, the Nets have paid out in three of their past four head-to-head meetings in Brooklyn, with three of their victories during a 5-0 run coming by double-digit margins.

The Nets have also shown signs of turning things around since enduring a dismal 3-17 run that started in late January, winning seven of 10 overall. However, consistency remains elusive on home court, where they have tallied consecutive wins just once while going 6-15 over their past 21. Now set to hit the court while favoured by at least 13 points for the third time this season, the Nets sport a solid 14-1 record in their past 15 as big chalk. However, they have produced mixed results against the spread over that stretch, covering just three times in their past 11.

Currently in a tight three-way race for the last place overall, the Pistons have won a league-worst eight road games this season. However, they have been surprisingly resilient against the spread, going 14-2-2 in their past 18 overall. They have also covered in five straight when pegged as double-digit underdogs.

Detroit Pistons

The Pistons have struggled to generate points during their current 2-8 slide, topping 110 points on just three occasions. However, Marvin Bagley III has bucked that trend, averaging 26 points in his past two outings. Second-year big man Isaiah Stewart has dominated under the bucket, averaging 10.3 boards and recording three double-doubles over his past six appearances.

Brooklyn Nets

Kyrie Irving impressed in his first home appearance of the season, draining 16 points and 11 assists while recording his second double-double of the season in Sunday’s loss to the Hornets. Irving had previously been prohibited from playing at home due to his vaccination status. However, the prohibition failed to slow him down, with the enigmatic point guard racking up 31.9 points over his past 10 overall appearances.
