Brooklyn Nets vs. Toronto Raptors Prediction, NBA Odds

The Toronto Raptors look to win seven in a row for the first time in almost four years when they play host to the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday night in NBA betting action at Scotiabank Arena.

The Raptors rolled to their most dominating win of the season on Friday night, with a 140-110 rout of the Washington Wizards, and have seized second place in the Eastern Conference standings while claiming victory by double-digit margins eight times during their current 10-1 run.

The Nets travel north after posting a 113-105 win in Boston on Friday, and while they have yet to post consecutive wins this season, the Nets have claimed victory in two straight away contests and three of their past five road outings.

The Raptors are set to hit the hardwood as lofty 12.5-point road favourites on Sunday’s NBA odds. The Nets trail as distant +550 underdogs on the NBA moneyline and the total is listed at 229.5.

Nets vs. Raptors NBA Betting Odds

The Raptors claimed a decisive 119-109 win over the Nets in the first meeting of the season between these clubs at Barclays Center on November 11, and have now topped Brooklyn in four straight meetings while claiming victory by an average margin of 17 points.

The Nets have mustered just 101.6 points per game over that past eight dates with the Raptors, and in addition to covering the spread just twice over that stretch, that low production has fuelled a reliable 7-2 run for the UNDER in totals betting.

Scoring has not been a problem for the Raptors, with the club averaging 121 points per game during their impressive 10-1 run, lifting them to fifth overall in the NBA in points scored per game. With their offence clicking, the Raptors have gone 9-2 ATS during their current surge, and compiled a steady 15-1 SU and 10-5-1 ATS record in their past 16 as double-digit home chalk.

With Friday’s win, the Nets improved to just 3-12 on the season. However, they have now covered in four of five road dates, with their victory over the Celtics marking their second straight ATS win while pegged as double-digit road dogs.

Brooklyn Nets

Michael Porter Jr. and Nic Claxton turned in sterling performances in Friday’s victory over the Celtics. The club’s leading scorer, Porter led the way with 33 points and eight rebounds, and has averaged 29.6 points per game over five road appearances this month, but mustered just 21 points in the team’s recent home loss to Toronto. Claxton made contributions all over the court while compiling 18 points, 11 board, and 12 assists for his first triple-double of the season.

Claxton also tallied a season-high 21 points versus the Raptors earlier this month. However, an injury to the elbow on his shooting arm could hamper him on Sunday, adding value to his -220 odds on the NBA player props to not record a double-double.

Toronto Raptors

The Raptors earned a berth in the NBA Cup quarter-finals with Friday’s rout of the Wizards. The Dinos stormed out of the gate to a 31-20 first-quarter lead and found a higher gear after the break, scoring 48 points in the third quarter.

Four Raptors shooters scored over 20 points, with Brandon Ingram and RJ Barrett leading the way, each with 24 points. Currently leading the squad with 21.1 points per game, Ingram has been a steady producer at home, averaging 24.7 points per game and 6.2 boards and should be backed as a -115 bet to record OVER 27.5 points + rebounds on Sunday. Barrett has now topped 20 points in three of four outings and averaged 19.7 points in November, but has tallied just 13.4 points per game in his past five appearances versus Brooklyn.
