The Nets escaped with a narrow 111-108 win over the injury-ravaged Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night, ending a seven-game slide that featured four straight defeats away from Barclays Center. The Cavaliers continued to roll with Sunday’s 112-100 win in Milwaukee that extends their current win streak to 14 games and their lead atop the Eastern Conference standings to 7.5 games.

The Cavs return to action as massive 18.5-point favourites on the Tuesday NBA odds. The Nets are distant +1150 underdogs on the NBA moneyline as they look to tally consecutive wins for the first time in 11 games, and the total is pegged at 229.5.

Nets vs. Cavaliers NBA Betting Odds

The Cavaliers are poised to sweep their season series with the Nets when they hit the hardwood at Rocket Arena on Tuesday night. The Cavs earned the win in each of their first three dates with the Nets this season including dominating victories by double-digit margins in their two most recent matchups, both in Brooklyn. However, the Cavaliers failed to cover as 12.5-point chalk in a narrow 105-100 win on home court last November, which followed a stunning 120-101 upset loss when the Nets visited Cleveland last April.

Overall, the Cavaliers have taken eight of nine from Brooklyn but are a middling 5-4 against the spread over that stretch. The Nets arrive in Cleveland on a high after pulling off the upset against the surging Lakers on Monday night. However, the club has not fared when playing their second game on back-to-back nights, going just 1-6 in their past seven, and scoring an average of just 91.8 points while losing their past four. The Cavaliers have regularly run up the score during their latest epic win streak, averaging 125.1 points per game on their current 14-0 run. However, Cleveland has covered just twice in five games and is winless ATS in their past two as double-digit chalk.

Brooklyn Nets

The Nets overcame a sloppy start and early double-digit deficit to claim a narrow halftime lead that and hung on to claim a narrow 111-108 win over the Lakers on Monday. The club escaped with the victory despite missing leading scorer Cam Thomas, whose status remains uncertain for Tuesday as he nurses a hamstring injury. Noah Clowney stepped up off the bench to tally a team-high 19 points but continued to struggle with accuracy while converting less than 50% from the field for the seventh time in eight outings. Veteran Cameron Johnson emerged as the club’s most productive starter, picking up 18 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Johnson remains the team’s second highest scorer with 18.9 points per game and is tops on the club with three helpers per game.

Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cavaliers have assured themselves of a playoff spot during their current 14-0 surge and can guarantee themselves at least a third-place finish in the East with a win on Tuesday. However, the club has built their recent success on narrow wins, with three of their past five victories coming by a margin of five or fewer points. Cleveland got the job in Sunday’s win over the Bucks despite seeing none of their shooters reach 20 points, with Max Strus leading the way while scoring just 17 points in 22 minutes. With his 15-point outing, leading scorer Donovan Mitchell has recorded 15 or fewer points in two of his past five road games, but has been steady on home court while dropping 28 points per game over his past five appearances. Darius Garland has contributed as a playmaker, averaging 6.5 assists while racking up 16.7 points per game in seven outings.
