New York Knicks vs. Milwaukee Bucks Prediction, NBA Odds
The New York Knicks found themselves at the top of the Eastern Conference standings briefly but have fallen back down to Earth. They’ve now riding a two-game losing streak following a tough 111-98 defeat against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night.
Knicks vs. Bucks NBA Betting Odds
The Knicks are 27-13 ATS in their last 40 games when allowing their opponent to score more than 100 total points in the previous matchup. This team is also 15-7 ATS in their last 22 games out on the road. The over has been able to cash out in their past four games when playing against a team with a losing home record.
On the other hand, the Bucks are 5-1 ATS in their last six games played at home against a team with a winning road record. They are also great lately when getting two days of rest, winning four of their last five games against the spread under those circumstances. Opposite of New York, the under has been consistent for them. It has cashed out in all five of their last five games overall.
New York Knicks
The Knicks started 5-1 but have since dropped back down to 5-3. Head coach Tom Thibodeau made it clear after their most recent game that players will have to do a better job of defending and rebounding when they can. He’s not happy with their performance at that end of the court, which is the signature of the team. They were known for strong defense last year and it doesn’t look like they have followed that trend into this season.
All-Star Julius Randle has been stellar once again as he’s averaging 20.6 points, 11.3 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game for the Knicks but may need to be a little more efficient if they want to get back to winning. He shot just six-for-16 from the field last week. Randle will need an aggressive day offensively so that teammates like Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier can get more open space.
Milwaukee Bucks
The Bucks have just been obliterated by injuries with Giannis Antetokounmpo being the only healthy starter left entering this game. Jrue Holiday has missed five games, Khris Middleton is COVID-19 positive, Brook Lopez has a back injury and Donte DiVencenzo still hasn’t recovered from his foot injury from last season. Giannis is going to have to single-handedly carry this team on both ends, though, that shouldn’t be a problem as he averages 27.4 points, 10.8 rebounds, 6.4 assists and two blocks per game. Milwaukee is definitely going to be walking into this game with the next man up mentality once again in the hopes they can keep on winning games.
