Knicks vs. Bucks Prediction: NBA Odds, Point Spread
The New York Knicks will be taking a trip over to Milwaukee to face off against the Bucks on Saturday night. These two teams met up earlier in the season with the Bucks winning that game handily, 134-101. The Knicks have won three out of their last four games and are looking good but not as good as Milwaukee right now. The Bucks have won eight of nine and 14 of their last 15. The Bucks lost on Friday night to Boston but can they rebound in this spot on Saturday?
NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis
Milwaukee opened as a 10-point favourite to win on the NBA odds.
The Knicks are 10-6 against the spread on the season when facing a team with a winning record and are 24-10 ATS versus good offensive teams who score 106+ points per game.
However, the Bucks have won seven of nine in this series and five straight in Milwaukee. They have covered the spread in four of the last five meetings at the Fiserv Forum.
New York Knicks
The Knicks have been one of the most surprising teams in the NBA this year as there’s now a generation of people who only know them as bottom feeders. They now find themselves at 23-22 and making a push for the postseason for the first time in quite a while. A large part of their success has been All-Star Julius Randle and rising star R.J. Barrett. Randle leads the team with 23.0 points, 10.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game while Barrett pitches on 17.5 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest. The team also has a number of other guys that have contributed such as Immanuel Quickley and Derrick Rose, though Rose missed the last few games for the team and is questionable to get into the lineup for this one.
Tom Thibodeau has put his imprint on this team as they lead the league in fewest points allowed and opponent field goal percentage. They’ve built a foundation and continue to rise.
Milwaukee Bucks
Milwaukee has been dominant lately but they are coming off a bit of a surprising loss to the Boston Celtics on Friday night. Even so, they’ve won eight of nine and are one of the hottest teams in the NBA. Giannis Antetokounmpo has been outstanding once again, putting up 28.6 points, 11.6 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game while leading the team in all of those categories. The Bucks have also gotten two great players to combine with Giannis on the floor, in Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday. All three of players provide solid defence and above average shooting, making it difficult to beat them when they are all healthy. Their bench depth is another reason as to why they have been so good. Players like Bryn Forbes and Donte DiVincenzo have stepped up from time to time to make big plays. They have seven players who average at least 9.5 points per game or more. They are on a mission right now and should be focused after losing on Friday.
