Riding a four-game winning streak, the Miami Heat have jumped to top spot in the Eastern Conference as they head to Milwaukee to face the defending NBA champion Bucks on Wednesday night.  Both teams were last in action on Monday, with the Heat downing Chicago 112-99 and Milwaukee blowing out the Hornets 130-106.

The Bucks are 4.5-point favourites to win on the NBA odds, with a total of 226.5.

Heat vs. Bucks NBA Betting Odds

This is the fourth and final regular season meeting between these teams this year.  Miami holds a 2-1 lead in the season series as the home team has won each game.  The Over has hit in two of three games.

The Heat continue to roll as they have wins in six straight road games and nine of their last 10 games overall.  They’re 35-26-1 against the spread this season, including 20-13-1 ATS on the road.  The total has gone Over in eight of Miami’s last 11 games against Eastern Conference teams.

Milwaukee has hit a bit of a stumble, dropping four of their last six games.  They haven’t been much of a cover option this year as they’re 27-35 ATS overall and 1-5 ATS over their last six games.  The total has gone Over in eight of the Bucks’ last nine games.

Miami Heat

Miami’s win against Chicago was huge as it puts them two games clear of the Bulls for first in the East and clinches the head-to-head tiebreaker between the teams for playoff seeding.  Tyler Herro and Gabe Vincent each dropped 20 points, while Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo added 15 apiece.  Max Strus recorded all 13 of his points in the fourth quarter.  Butler is averaging a team-high 21.7 points per game, while Adebayo leads the team with 10.2 rebounds.  Former Toronto Raptor Kyle Lowry is averaging 13.4 ppg and a team-high 7.9 assists, but he’ll remain out of the lineup due to personal reasons.

Some food for thought, Miami is 41-21.  The last five Heat teams to start the season 41-21 or better have all reached the NBA Finals.

Milwaukee Bucks

The Bucks dropped a season-high 44 points in the second quarter on Monday, led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, who finished the night with a game-high 26 points and 16 rebounds.  Jrue Holiday finished with 21 points and six assists, while Bobby Portis scored 20 points and 10 rebounds.  Khris Middleton added 19 points.  Milwaukee made their first 26 free throws, with Antetokounmpo making all 14 of his attempts.  Antetokounmpo is second in NBA scoring with 29.4 ppg and he also leads the Bucks in rebounds (11.4) and blocks (1.4).  Brook Lopez (back), Pat Connaughton (hand) and George Hill (neck) all remain out of the lineup.
