Milwaukee’s in pursuit of first in the Eastern Conference, trailing Boston by 1.5 games. The Bucks are 8-2 in their last 10, healthy and with superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo on a tear. The two-time NBA MVP has hit 50 points in two of Milwaukee’s last three outings, including a 54-point night Thursday in a 106-105 win against the Clippers. Miami’s wrapping up a four-game road trip when they visit Milwaukee, so far going 1-2 with two close losses.

Tip-off at Fiserv Forum starts at 8 p.m. EST, with the Bucks a 5.5-point favourite and the total at 220 on the NBA odds.

Heat vs. Bucks NBA Betting Odds

Milwaukee’s been scoring at will throughout their six-game win streak, hitting at least 124 in four of those six victories. The over is 4-2 in the Bucks last six versus an Eastern Conference opponent, and 17-10 in their 27 home games so far. Milwaukee’s also 22-5 on home court and have won five straight at home.

Miami enters having lost five straight when visiting the Bucks, but also going 4-1-1 against the spread in their last six contests with Milwaukee. The under is 6-1 in the Heat’s last seven outings with Miami holding their opponent to under 100 points in three of their last six games, but they have a massive challenge ahead in Antetokounmpo and the Bucks.

Miami Heat

Two closes losses this past week have put a damper on an otherwise impressive stretch from Miami, who went into this road trip with three straight victories. Thursday’s two-point loss at New York was a missed Tyler Herro buzzer-beater away from a win too. Herro connected on four threes in the loss, putting up 25 points. Bam Adebayo led the whole game with 32 points, going 11 for 16 from the field and 10 for 11 from the charity stripe.

The Heat are allowing the second-fewest points per game this season (108.1). On the flip side, Miami is the lowest-scoring team in the entire league with 108.4 points per game. Milwaukee’s a top-five defence too, but the Heat are 2-0 against Milwaukee this season while scoring 108 and 111 points in the wins.

Milwaukee Bucks

In a night where the Bucks as a team were off, Antetokounmpo came to the rescue. Antetokounmpo scored 20 of his game-high 54 points in the final quarter, finishing 21 for 39 from the field. No other Bucks player made more than six field goals and the Bucks as a team shot nine for 37 from the arc. In fact, only Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday even reached double digits in the win, with the two combining for 28 points.

The Bucks are a middle of the pack offence, winning games this season more from keeping the ball out of their basket. But when Antetokounmpo can take over games like he did against L.A., the Bucks can really win however they wish.
