How favoured the C’s will be on the NBA odds depends on Steph Curry’s injury status.

Celtics vs. Warriors NBA Betting Odds

There are eight games on the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday in the USA on Monday with Boston at Golden State perhaps as the marquee matchup shown on TNT and streaming on Max.

It’s a rematch of the 2022 NBA Finals won by the Warriors in six. That was the fourth and last title for the franchise in the Steph Curry Era, and No. 5 is not on the horizon barring a major trade. The Dubs acquired former Raptors point guard Dennis Schroder from Brooklyn last month but that really hasn’t moved the needle.

Of course, Boston won its first title since 2008 last season and is the +240 favourite to repeat in June, but Western Conference-leading Oklahoma City (+250) could take over that role soon.

This concludes the season series as on Nov. 6, the Celtics were 6.5-point home favourites and upset, 118-112, by the Warriors behind 27 points from Curry. With Golden State holding a 115-112 lead, Draymond Green hit a free throw with 11 seconds left to clinch it. Jayson Tatum had 32 points to lead Boston, which was without fellow All-Star Jaylen Brown.

The Celtics are still 6-4 SU and 5-4-1 ATS in the past 10 regular-season meetings with the over-under at 4-6.

Boston Celtics

Boston looks a little bored right now and has alternated wins and losses over its past eight after being upset 119-115 in overtime at home by Atlanta on Saturday after Trae Young hit two free throws to tie it with 3.5 seconds left in regulation. Jayson Tatum missed a jumper at the regulation buzzer and a late 3 in overtime. Tatum was listed as questionable and seemed to be favouring his shoulder at times and finished with 23 points on 7-for-21 shooting. Tatum has scored at least 15 points in 78 straight regular-season games, the longest active streak in the NBA.  Jaylen Brown had 24 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists. Big men Al Horford and Kristaps Porzingis both sat out in the second of a back-to-back but should play Monday.  Boston is shooting 3-pointers this season at a record pace. The franchise mark for most made 3-pointers per game in a season is 3.2, but three guys are on pace to top that. The Celtics are 1-4 ATS in their past five.

Golden State Warriors

Golden State enters on a two-game winning streak – it hasn’t won three in a row since mid-November – following a 122-114 home win over a wretched Washington team on Saturday. Steph Curry had 26 points but left with a left ankle injury in the final minutes and is in question for Monday but it’s not considered overly serious. Draymond Green left with calf tightness and was limping pretty significantly afterward so he’s clearly going to miss time. Two other rotation guys in Jonathan Kuminga and Brandin Podziemski have missed multiple games and not expected back Monday. Toronto native Andrew Wiggins had perhaps his best game of the season against the Wizards with 31 points and 11 rebounds, and he would become offensive option No. 1 if Curry sits. Golden State is 0-5 SU in its past five Monday games.
