The Milwaukee Bucks hope to continue their dominance against a struggling Golden State Warriors team on Tuesday. The Bucks are riding a three-game winning streak and are again looking like one of the best teams in the league, while the Warriors are on a three-game losing streak. One of those losses was a 53-point blowout against the Toronto Raptors, so it’s pretty clear that this is essentially a lost season. Which streak ends on Tuesday? Let’s take a closer look.
NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis
Milwaukee is favoured on the NBA odds. The Bucks are 9-15 against the spread in their last 24 road games but should be able to turn it around with a dominant win in this one. Milwaukee is clicking at the right time and should be relatively healthy, barring any last second injuries, while the Warriors are struggling.
Meanwhile, Golden State is just 1-4 straight up in their past five contests. Missing a few key players has definitely hurt them, although even when healthy, they aren’t the same Warriors they used to be.
Milwaukee Bucks
All three of the Bucks big trio should be active for this game as Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday are all expected to play. Antetokounmpo has been playing like he wants a third straight MVP trophy this year, putting up a stat line of 28.8 points, 11.4 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game, leading the team in all of those categories. Middleton and Holiday have also provided excellent scoring and defence for a Bucks team that has a terrific starting five. Their bench depth leaves a little to be desired. They are 22nd in bench scoring, which isn’t great. The key here is that the Warriors are a mess. Morale is down in Golden State and a team that is used to having championship-aspirations is again struggling to even be in the playoff picture. Milwaukee will win this game if they’re focused.
Golden State Warriors
The Warriors have been playing without Steph Curry, but he practiced on Monday and could return Tuesday. That gives them a huge boost as he provides the team with 29.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and six assists a game. When the team is without him, they’re usually cooked.
It’s hard to get excited about Golden State right now as they’re bumbling. Not only have they lost three in a row, they’ve dropped seven of their last eight. They were once 19-15 on the season but have just four wins and 12 losses since then. Other than the surprising win over Utah, the other three victories have come against average teams. Golden State is at home here but they’ll need a near-perfect effort to pull this off. They have a more realistic shot of covering than winning this game.
