76ers vs. Heat NBA Betting Odds
Tuesday night’s matchup at FTX Arena marks the sixth meeting of the season between these clubs. Miami has taken home the win in four of six overall clashes with the Sixers, and has also claimed victory in six of seven home dates with Philadelphia since 2018. The Heat also hold an edge at the sportsbooks after covering in six of nine head-to-head clashes with the 76ers. The club has also won outright in 22 of their past 24 when favoured by seven or more points.
The 76ers have struggled to maintain offensive consistency during their current 1-3 swoon, averaging just 94 points per game over their three recent defeats. The road has been particularly unkind to Philadelphia, which has lost eight of 13 postseason away contests. The Sixers have also lost outright in nine of 10 as road underdogs in playoff action, covering just twice over that stretch.
Philadelphia 76ers
The Sixers will once again be with Joel Embiid in Game 2 after the superstar big man suffered an orbital fracture and concussion in the club’s series-clinching win in Toronto in the first round. Veteran DeAndre Jordan started in place of Embiid, but mustered just four points and two rebounds in 17 minutes of action. James Harden’s recent struggles also continued. “The Beard” tallied just 16 points in Game 1 on 5-for-13 shooting. Harden also committed five turnovers for the third time in these playoffs, and has now averaged just 18.6 points in the postseason.
Miami Heat
The Heat are expected to be without veteran leader Kyle Lowry yet again on Wednesday night. However, expected struggles in Game 1 due to a rash of injuries failed to materialize. A nagging ankle injury failed to slow down point guard Tyler Herro, who recorded team highs off the bench with 25 points and seven assists. And in Embiid’s absence, Bam Adebayo put on a show, with the big man racking up 24 points and 12 boards. On the other side of the ball, PJ Tucker remained a pest while shadowing Harden all night, but still produced 10 points and seven rebounds.
