Luis Pena is set as the favourite in his fight with Khama Worthy that will be the main event of Saturday's preliminary card.
The only non-American on the UFC Fight Night main card in Las Vegas on Saturday is Italian Luis Pena as he takes on Khama Worthy in a lightweight bout. Pena is a -290 favourite on the MMA odds with Worthy at +210.
The 33-year-old Worthy (15-6), who fights out of Pittsburgh and has a terrific nickname of “the Deathstar,” is an unknown to many mixed martial arts fans because he has bounced around several organizations over the years and made his UFC debut last August. It was successful as Worthy beat Devonte Smith by first-round TKO (punches).

Smith was scheduled to fight John Makdessi, but an injury forced Makdessi off the card. Then the UFC found a different replacement for Makdessi but that fell through as well. Thus, Worthy took the bout on just four days’ notice and won his sixth in a row. He closed around a +500 underdog, marking one of the UFC’s biggest upsets of 2019. It also earned Worthy a $50,000 Performance of the Night award.
Worthy has been scheduled for two different bouts since but both were cancelled due to the coronavirus. He has nine of his 15 wins by KO/TKO, while five of his six losses are by the same. Worthy’s bouts average two rounds.
Pena (8-2), 26, has lived in Arkansas for much of his life but was born in Naples, Italy. His UFC debut came in July 2018 on “the Ultimate Fighter 27” finale where he beat Richie Smullen by first-round submission (guillotine choke). “Violent Bob Ross” comes off a unanimous decision win over Steve Garcia in February. All three judges scored it 30-27.
Both of Pena’s losses are by decision, while he has four wins by submission, two by KO/TKO and two by decision. His fights average 12:28 in the UFC and the southpaw averages 3.32 significant strikes landed per minute (absorbs 2.47) and 1.00 takedowns per 15 minutes with 29 per cent accuracy. His takedown defence is 45 per cent.
